If your young and don't have high cholesterol, diabetes, high blook pressure or any other illness the only thing I woud be concerned with was "transfats" they are very bad for your heart.

Follow these tips for a healthy weight gain:

1. It takes time to increase muscle weight.

Most athletes can successfully gain ½ to 1 pound per week if they eat enough food to meet their calorie needs and train properly. Increasing calorie intake by 500 to 1000 calories per day can help supply the extra calories needed to gain lean weight.

2. Choose higher calorie foods from all the groups in the Food Guide Pyramid.

For example, choose a multigrain bread over white bread, or juices and milk over water.

3. Eat larger food portions.

Increasing the amount of food that you eat at one time will supply the calories needed to gain muscle weight.

4. Eat five or more meals a day.

Eat plenty of high calorie snacks throughout the day.

5. Drink plenty of fluids that supply calories like juice, milk, milkshakes, and sports beverages.

For example, drinking 1 ½ quarts of grape or cranberry juice supplies 1000 calories. 1 ½ quarts of 2% milk supplies 720 calories.

6. Set realistic goals.

Hereditary factors can play a large role in physique. You are not going to look like Arnold if your parents look like Pee Wee Herman.

The following are some examples of high calorie snacks:

A soft pretzel with cream cheese or peanut butter
Milkshakes made with whole milk and ice cream plus powdered milk
Dried fruit
Bean and cheese burritos
Bagel and cream cheese or peanut butter
Baked potatoes with sour cream, cheese, or chili
Granola and yogurt
Muffins
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Cheese and crackers
Blender drinks with fruit, milk, ice cream, or protein powders or powdered milk
High calorie granola bars or energy bars

Wow, this is a first. I need to lose 15 pounds. I don't know how you can gain weight but I am glad you see that you need to gain. Most girls are so underweight and think they need to lose more and more. I use to be underweight. The only reason I gained was because I had to kids. Don't go and get yourself pregnant though! You should talk to your doctor. They should be able to tell you what you can eat that is healthy and will help you gain the weight you need. I had a friend a few years ago that was underweight and the doctor told her to eat Wheat Germ. You get it at the grocery store and I guess add it to your cereal or something. I'm not sure how it tastes but the name of it sounds nasty. But talk to your doctor and maybe you'll get an idea of what to do.

Who ever ask, how to gain some weight??? WOW!
What a problem unless you are ill or something. (hope that is not the case, though)

If you have not hit 30 years old yet, then just wait and the "15 plus" pounds will just magically appear, trust me on that one!! :)

Well, in the meantime, eat ice cream, bread, loaded baked pototoes, any dairy products, pizza, almost anything will put it on.

(I'm on the opposite end of that question) :D

To begin I would look at your daily calorie intake and excercise/ energy output. For example take a 3 day food diary and then average out your daily caloric intake. What ever calories you are currently consuming daily is only enough to maintain your current weight at the level of activity you are at. You can simply add calories to your diet and maintain your activities as normal. I would consult a nutritionist to get more specific because the calories that you add you'll want them to carry some nutritional value & not just empty calories. Fruits/ Veggies are always good.

Eat meat (Protein), fruits, vegetables, some carbohydrates.Try eating 4 meals a day. Avoid fast foods, Half fast foods, and junk food. Eat just a little more than you eat now each day. Make sure it is a balanced diet, and includes the 4 food groups.

Ask your doctor to check your metabolism. Maybe it's too fast.

eat healthy later at night, every day your metabolism starts to slow for the day around 6pm, so eat after then, also work out, you dont have to bulk up, but muscle weighs more than fat so you can add weight and stay lean

everybody should be so lucky...lol....but seriously if u want to gain weight then increase your caloric intake with healthy foods or protien bars....the ones for bodybuilders that have high protien content are good for weight gain...or those meal supplement shakes like ensure and boost...drink those for a snack between meals....
