I am not a fundamentalist, but according to the dictionary, a fundamentalist Christian group can be considered a cult. But of course, they they consider themselves the true cult, right?

When Christianity originated, it was a cult. By all definitions. Does that mean it was evil, and tried to lure people in to steal their money? No. It was an underground religion, and that's why they were fed to the lions.

Any Christian who holds a christian persecution complex should be able to sympathize with cultists, because that complex came about from BEING a cult.

I am waiting to see as well. I am a Christian but not a fundamentalist, I am a Catholic. But are you suggesting that they believe that anyone who does not practice their style of Christianity is a cult?

This is how I define a cult:
Use of Fear to Controll the People.
Bunch of Rule's that limit your Freedom, so you won't skip-town. Or you have to move to a certain location.
Psychological mind bending.
The group act's strange when a stranger come's into their midst.
No window's in their building. (wonder why?)
Glazed eye's and wierd stare's into wonderland.
A Free Man can spottem' a mile away.
Just something about a cult.

(1) A cult is anyone who claims to be a Christian that denies the divinity of Christ which is the denial of the triune nature of God.

(2) A "christian" church that teaches that salvation is obtained by the works of the law rather then by the grace of God.

(3) Denies the authority of the scriptures when it pertains to the fundamental doctrines of the faith that was taught by the apostles.

It's evident to me that you've never studied cults, because otherwise you'd realize that your question is ridiculous.
You should ask yourself: how do experts define a cult.

oh, and I'm not even christian. I just cant stand to see stupid criticisms like this.

Any religious group that does not lead to the Christ of the Bible, but to another Jesus and another gospel (2 Cor. 11:1-4; Gal. 1:8, 9). We must therefore reject these false teachings, and “earnestly contend for the faith which was once and for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).
