Shop around the various kennels and groomers in your area for the best price. I live in San Diego and found a kennel just down the street where they clip my dog's nails for five bucks. I do all the rest of the grooming and training of my dogs, but I've just never felt comfortable clipping their nails. By the way, our previous dog also freaked out whenever we tried to cut her nails, but when we took her to a groomer she didn't fuss at all. It's definitely worth the money to have someone who knows what they're doing do it. If your dog's nails have gotten really long you may have to have them clipped a couple of times in order to let the quick recede. The longer they grow, the farther out the quick is, so they have to be trimmed back in stages.

You need to get pills from the vet. There is nothing over the counter that works well. Acepromazine tablets from the vet are usually the only thing that they will give you. I really do not think they work that well, but I guess it is worth a try.
Or you can drop the dog off at the vet and they can do it or sedate the dog better and do it. It will cost more that way, of course.

Maybe you should take your yorkie to a place that dose dog grooming. They are very experienced with clipping nails and can get it done safetly. It really should not cost to much, and another thing is if you are not careful you can clip there nail into the quick and a dog can bleed to death. So you have to be extremely careful when nail clipping.

My dachshunds don't like to have nails cut either. They rarely need it though. If a dog is walked regularly, they wear down naturally. No need to cut them. In winter when they do need it, I take them to the groomers. That way they can get mad at them instead of me.

consult a vet either for a sedative or to have them do it for you. They know how to properly restrain animals in order to cause the least amount of stress for everyone. Do not give anything over the counter without first consulting your vet

Take him to a groomer or your vet. They should be cheap for a service like that, and it's done.
