ive had two good births in my eyes with my first was a normal delivery on a hospital bed it was scary and painful but it was worth it,i was 8 days late and they took me in to be induced, kept me in over night i was so scared. The following morning i got up had something to eat and had a shower ready for wen my partner got there(he was cuming@10) at half 9 a midwife came into me to explaine wot they would do and just as she was explaining about the hook they break ur waters with my waters broke(9.40) it was such a relief as i didnt fancey that part of being induced. then my contractions started (3 minutes apart) they wasnt too painful at first i was coping well at this time,my partner was there dead on 10 like he promised it was so nice to see him. They took me down to my labour room and just as we got there then the pains got worse but i kept pacing up and down my room as i found it helped wen i was moving about, then she checked to c how far dilated i was 7cms and she told me not long to go.at that point i looked at the clock and it saying 12.10 and i remember asking if it was the right time it had gone so quickly.
all of a sudden i had an erge to push and my midwife checked me again and she told me i could push all i could think was not long and my babys here u can do it BUT he decided he wanted to roll over in my birth canal and the pain was unbearable, id managed with no drugs up untill this point but i had to have something as it got worse. They offered my an epidural but i refused i said all through my pregnancy id only have one if i had to have a c-section so they gave me some pefedine in my leg. I got off the bed and walked around as they sad it would help the baby roll back into place and he did so i got back on the bed and waited 4 another contraction so i could push i was pushing for about 10 -15 minutes and then i had him at 6 minutes to 2.As she handed me my son the pain had gone, My partner gave me a kiss and told me was so proud of me.I passed him his son he had the biggest smile ever and asparkle in his eye.He didnt take his eyes off him while he fed him his first bottle. That was the most amazing thing id ever done.

I was at my doctor's office for my 38 week check up. Right after my name was called, I stood up walked into the exam room, and my water broke. My doctor came in and checked me and I was dialated to 4, fully effaced. He walked me across the street to the hospital and checked me in. My husband and mom arrived within a half hour (my mom is an attorney who had been in the middle of a trial, but luckily she left her cell phone on). I dialated from 4-10 in an hour and a half. I pushed for 20 minutes and them my little Emma Grace was born. The doctor announced to everyone at the end that next time we're picking a date because I had gone so fast. Then he thanked me for going so fast because he was going to be able to go home and eat his pork chop dinner his wife had made him.

ok, this may not be the most beautiful, but it has to be the funniest..I was exactly 40 on the day..I woke up around 2 to tell my husband my water broke and we should go to the hospital..I had been up there the day before so I let him sleep. anyway..I decided I wanted to walk up there, it was uphill for 3 blocks, but walking is good, right..I got one block and was soaked, it was December and I was cold..at the next intersection we hailed a cab ( I didn't want to wait for one before) the 4 guys in it hopped out and we rode the last two blocks..to the wrong entrance, a security guard felt bad and opened the main entrance and I walked to the elevator leaking everywhere..once I was admitted, my husband fell asleep, and they gave me Pitocin to regulate the contractions..at 7:00 he left because the doctor said it wouldn't happen soon, he was scheduled to get snipped..so anyway, he came back from the doctor's sore and uncomfortable, then he had to walk to the apartment complex and put a deposit down for our new apartment before we lost it..at 5:30 my doctor wanted to know if we should call his cell to see if he was in the area..I said no, the pressure was tremendous..just as the baby was crowning he came running in ..as fast as he could anyway..saw our son being born and cut the cord..everyone on the floor knew what was going on with us, and everyone at the doctor's office of course got a chuckle out of it as well..

i have had three wonderful (yet painful) and unique births. i'll share the second. i woke up at 8 a.m had some cramping (it was 2 days before my due date) figured this could be it. hopped in the shower...called my mom at work. then proceded to wake my 4 year old brother and 13 month old son. made breakfast...called the hospital...called my mom again...by now it is about 9-9:15. my mom and aunt arrived at the same time to get me and to take the kids. i arrived at the hospital at 10:40 am get up to the room and by now i am ready for my epidural which my midwife informed me i wouldn't be getting because i was already 9.5 cm dilated. then the tears came...not because it hurt that bad but because i was scared to death of the pain. once they calmed me down and told me i would be holding my second son in less than 1/2 hour i figured to just quit whining and get ready to push. my dad (and proud grandfather) arrived at 11:00 to hold my right hand for the second time (and 6 months ago watched his first grand daughter make her debut from his assumed position) at 11:11 am my "middle child" came barreling into the world. while i was busy patting myself on the back for surviving my natural labor and delivery, i never heard the "code blue" throughout the hospital. as the scene unfolded around me in slow motion i soon came to realize that he had only let out one cry. my baby boy had coded seconds after being born...after what seemed like an eternity but was only actually about 1 minute i heard that beautiful little cry again. sometimes to this day when he cries i can't help but smile...because he is here...right in front of me...getting ready to go into 4th grade...helping me take care of his little sister...healthy as a horse...growing up and i get to watch every second.
