Yes, I am a Goth girl, just have an open mind, smile, treat and talk to her like you would your friends, complement her. Bake her some cookies. Ask her what music she listens too, try to listen to some of it and check some of her CD's out. After you get to know her better ask her if she wants to stay up late, watch a scary movie, get some goodies, invite some of her buddies over, have a party, paint your fingernails, etc. Most important girls bond while shopping take her to Hot Topic or Torrids. Maybe put on a black t-shirt, A lot of Goths are very nice smart people. I do not understand the guy below who is against a late party, We all do that. Anyway, all my buddies like people who are nice and act real, they would like to be around a person who is a true friend.

Just be civil. Don't be overly nice, and don't talk to her like you would a small child. Talk to her like an adult. Ask questions to try and get a conversation started if that's what you want to do. Just don't ask her why she's goth or stuff like that. That'll make it worse. Ask her about her favorite band, that's a decent way to start a conversation. And that whole stay up late painting nails party mentioned above? Probably not a good idea. Take the word of another 14 year old goth girl.

You can always try to bribe her with pretty little notebooks for writing in, bracelets or jewelry, artsy photo magazines, weird stuff you find... Nothing necessarily expensive or pricey, but stuff you think might mesh with her style.

Also, talk to her. You probably won't be her best friend ever, but maybe she can accept and grow to be cool with the fact that you're her big brother's girlfriend. Maybe she's jealous, either of the time she doesn't get to spend hanging out with her brother now, or of the fact that she doesn't have a significant other...

If she doesn't respond well to questions you ask her, maybe tell her a story now and then, as if she asked you, "What's the weirdest thing you saw this week?" You can describe some old abandoned building, or a science article you read, or a bug you saw on the sidewalk. Maybe eventually you can find a spark of connection.

It probably won't be easy.
Best of luck...

No one in the world can relate to a fourteen year old goth girl except maybe another fourteen year old goth girl, or her secret book of dark poetry which NO ONE could understand. Leave her alone unless you see her actually carving secret marks into her arms with knives. She probably hates everyone, not just you. Don't worry about it. Just smile and say hi, and occasionally compliment her on something like her hair, or her flattering black whatever.

Buy tomato juice and pretend you have been out with your vampy friends drinking each others blood. Let the juice stain your mouth, add salt for a more sodium present smell.
Also try wearing black, and looking unaware of your surroundings. Do not forget to slash clothes a bit and have a gloomy vision of the world and the future. Do pretend to hate everything and everybody and draw lots of stabbed hearts and stabbed little birds, then you may START to gain her trust.

Rule number one: do your research. Find out what little goth girls are into: music, movies, cosplay, whatever ... it's all online, and then ask her about it.

I wouldn't worry about trying to relate to her, as at that age no teenager likes any adults. She probably will just reject any conversation you initiate. Just be pleasant, and always say "hi" when you see her. Maybe as she matures she will change.
