This term refers to spiritual enlightenment, when an individual understands that they are not the material body which is constituted of atomic particles, nor are they the subtle conditioned mind, nor the intelligence, nor the false ego which dictates that their identity is material.

Cosmic consciousness means to understand that aham brahmasmi, I am spirit soul, the symptom of which is consciousness and I am part and parcel of the Supreme consciousness or God.

Dear Leuroth: Cosmic consciousness is the consciousness that exists in all space and dimension. God, our Creator, is a Spirit-Mind that fills all space and dimension with a body of essence - luminous from the light of his Mind within it. He Created His Children in His likeness - we are spirit-mind also - in our Reality. All of the spirits within the enfoldment of God are linked by a One-Mind channel that provides full communication - through thought - to every member of the Sonship and to the Father/Creator directly, too. The One Mind is the cosmic consciousness.

What do we think about in our Reality? We think our Creator's thoughts and share them with Him. He is like a pool of knowledge. All thoughts are contained within His Mind. We think our own thoughts and communicate to Him through the One Mind.

We are in the physical realm now due to the Great Separation that did not occur in the Garden of Eden, but occurred in our spirit-minds in Eternity. Our Return to our rightful place is appointed by God Himself. It is fail-proof. We are safe in the meantime, due to our Eternal nature. We cannot be killed or "die" for that is only an appearance. When we seemingly "die" we are "just out of sight." We are safe. Always.

In human terms only, we consider the cosmic consciousness to be what the majority on the planet feel and think. But that is a human concept.

It has to do with the communications, known or unknown, between the higher self's of all humanity. The spirit exists simultaneously on the physical and spirit planes of reality. There are worlds within worlds, each as valid as the physical reality whose rules we follow in this space/time continuum. But all are connected like a spider web. Like black matter and string theory it's all energy.. It's where our de ja vouis slip into play. It can only be taped into in times of deep prayer or worship,meditation, or connection with nature. It seem a little 'free hippy love-'ish, but some things are true no matter if you believe them or not. And all of the major religions speak of it.
