it is time called the 'dark ages' because of the lack of written documents and evidence of the going ons at that time. Honestly, anyone could have written the Bible to screw with people's minds and gain control over the general public using fear tactics such as 'believe or you will go to hell' by dwelling on things that no1 can possibly know the answer to. (Ex:Creation of earth, what happens after death.) Sure, it worked, and it was a good idea. It preached things like treat other's well and be loyal to urself. But do we really still need religion and the bible. I'm sure it was a very good thing back in the day to increase public order but then it was misused starting the crusades, the holocaust, scamming people and the middle-east conflict today is fueled by it. Religion is a good thing I think (even if it may be a bit ridiculous) but let's not support our religous 'guesses' with violence if you still want to use it as a comforting bed time story. Agreed?
