kids have a very strong immune system-think of all the germs they are exposed to in daycare,school,etc....
our stomachs have the strongest acid known to man inside them and if her body was risking infection due to the carrots-she would have thrown them up or will eventually. have her drink lots of fluid-preferably not milk though-b/c if her stomach is upset-the milk will absorb the bacteria and make it worse. water and gatorade work best.
if she complains of a stomach ache you can give her children's mylanta chewables to help settle it. one tablet about every 8 hours-no more than 3 in 24 hours. you can also give her clear liquids to eat/drink. things like Jello, juice, water,or soup broth until her stomach settles down.
if she is vomiting or has diarrhea consistantly ( vomits more than 5-6 times in 12 hours or has diarrhea more than 7 times in 12 hours) and is not wanting to eat or drink-you need to make an appointment with the doctor to get her seen-she might need some antibiotics to help get rid of the bacteria that caused her tummy to be upset. but chances are her body will fight this off w/no problem.
report to the er if:
she suddenly develops a fever of 101 or higher
she's not keeping anything down-including water for more than 4 hours
she becomes lethargic or very sleepy-hard to wake up or keep awake
the inside of her mouth is very dry
these are signs of dehydration and it can worsen very quickly and i.v fluids will be necessary

Heh...kids will eat anything, won't they? She should be fine, but if she starts getting sick, take her to the ER. I was babysitting years ago, when a little boy picked up an earthworm and chomped down on half of it! Eew!

Probably won't do her any harm at all. If they were harmful, she probably would have puked by now. Not to worry.
