if you're already pretty attractive in a very masculine way you can get away with long hair-- usually only guys with ruggedly handsome features and great bodies can pull this off well (Fabio, Brad Pitt in "Troy"). If you're only little boy cute or a little feminine looking--really slim or softer body wise, stay away from anything thats longer than shaggy.
