Family dog of course. The dog will love everybody in the family and be there when you need them. They sense when you need extra love and be there and still be ready when you wanna go for a jog. They will love you when everybody else seems to hate you. When they are gone you can still feel and remember their love. "A dog's love is forever"

We had a cockatiel named Dickey Bird that would cuss like a sailor when I was a little girl (in a funny aside, we have a cockatiel now that my husband has taught to cuss) We had a huge Doberman named Sober that my dad never had his ears cut, so he looked so cute, and I used to ride on his back, I also had a Shetland pony that we named Buttons, and I had a pet frog named Han Solo that my brother caught for me. Can't really pick a "best" animal because they were all very special to me

A Opossum.. Sabastian by Name,,
His mother dropped him and after we touched him she would never take him back even theough we fed her at the window every nite,
He ended up eating far better than she ever did. And he was a Cuddler from day one, and loved his warm shower every day and a towel dry after..
He had his own way of peeling bananas that was unique in that he started in the middle of the banana and tearing it open both ways. but we just couldn't get him to put the peels in the trash after.

A Rat, Since i was 11 years old, i've always had a pet rat, Why? Because they are clean, and easy to train, and they are really friendly, They dont poop in their food bowls, and they tell you when they are hungry and thirsty, They also can learn their own name, and play some small tricks, They also kiss/and snuggle you, and fall asleep on you, they dont fear people.

A nice little mutt that we found wandering around down town. He was hungry and cold. We took him home and named him Rufus and he lived to be 15 years old, and in those 15 years, he was never hungry or cold again.
