You are responsible for your reactions. You are responsible for voicing how you feel in a non-blaming, non-confrontational win-win conversation. "I feel sad when someone says I dress funny" as compared to "you made me mad." You can't change other people, you can only stay away from those that hurt you. By working on your conflict resolution skills now, and learning to respond instead of react, you will grow and later be able to keep a marriage together in hard times.
