When a scientific theory is disproved people accept this fact, begin working with the new theory, and go on with their lives.

So why is it that when a Christian idea is disproved, Christians won't accept the facts and get on with it?

I am thinking here specifically about things such as the age of the earth (the evidence that it is much older than the christian teachings state is irrefutable).

Clearly none of you understand how the scientific process works (I wouldn't expect you to really). You are demanding that science is proven to you, but this is impossible, no theory can ever be proven for sure, but things can be DISproved.

As for the idea that evolution has been disproved more than creation. Perhaps that is because evolution is based on facts and observations (things that can be easily disproved with other observations), whereas creation is based on words in a book (something not so easy to directly disprove).

Christian is a religion afraid of changes. They are afraid ,because they have no truths of their own.

There are defenite proofs in India itself about existance of mankind with metro infra-structures.

It clearly tears the mask of christianity. Knowing this the Vatican feel insecure about its future. Now as a marketing they are expanding their regime.Since majority wins they want to convert every individual in Earth to christianity.

This is done by the great minds of the world. They have a great strategy of entering a nation as humanitary services. Then missionaries are created.People are compelled strategically to convert to christianity for food and medicine.Every event is accompanied by a big cash flow.

Christians in Vatican are mature but they don't allow anyone else to mature in the name of God.

Even GOD won't accept their "methods" of conversion.Using miracles to fool people around.

So far nothing has been proven to me that God did not perfect the earth for Human habitation. I guess you are referring to the times of the dinosaur, but we are talking about when God perfected it.

We can not look at current rates of rock formation, erosion, etc to determine the age of the earth because there may have been factors in the past that are not happening in the present. In fact the Bible tells us just that. A flood covered the entire earth (read my commentary on Genesis 6) this would alter, shift and mix up the entire face of the earth. This flood also altered the rate of sediments laid down, the formation of sedimentary rock and also the rate of erosion.

Something that may take many years to form today (the Grand Canyon for instance) could have formed quite quickly during the flood.

The Bible even predicted that in the "last days" there would be those who scoff at the bible, and claim that "all things continue as they were from the beginning" (II Peter 3:3). This seems to say that there would be a predominance of uniformitarianism thinking. Mountains form slowly today, so they assume that they must have formed slowly in the past. The Creation model tells us that mountains formed quickly as the result of the flood.

No matter how old the earth is, Evolution is impossible

Everything we know of Science (entropy etc..) tells us that even if the world was millions or even billions of years old, evolution would still be impossible

In the popular press we are led to believe that the antiquity of the earth is a proven fact. We are told that all Scientists believe the world is old, and that all of our dating methods confirm this.

The truth is, many well qualified Scientists, and lay people alike are well justified in their belief that the earth, and universe is quite young.

A secret they have learned is one that you may never have been told. It is this: Though a few assorted dating methods give the age of the earth in millions of years, there are far more that limit the age of the earth to a mere few thousand years.

- Why are we not told of these?
It is because they go against the politically correct notion of Evolution.

A Jesuit Priest once stated that if he were given a child until the age of six, he would have that child for the rest of his life. Persons born into a religious culture are not likely to stray if they have been taught to believe. All this relatively new controversy about church and state, is simply a bid for more political power on the part of the hypcrites who profess to be in touch with god.

When the churches disavow any interest in politics, they will have taken one step in the long road to being worth while. As it is they are too political and dishonest at the outset.

What is happening in the East is a good example of what happens when there is no division between Church and State. Believe my way or I will ex communicate you, which will make you wish you were dead.

Believe in my way or I will behead you, What's the difference. Societal death or physical death.
That is a matter of historical significance.

Disprove first then we will talk.
How is your irrefutable evidence examined?
If you want to continue into evolution I have not found any basis for the theory of evolution.
Evolution is conjecture and theory that scientists accepted as a reasonable synopsis.
A written book over 2 thousand years old or observations with a lot of guesswork? Let me see.
I do not make this up. Read about it.
It was grade 6 science.

I enjoy reading answers to this type of question. Creationist by their very nature are faith based, and are entitled to their belief. The problem arises when creationist try to use science to bolster their belief. The Discovery institute is a prime example of this.
The fact is that every one of their "scientific" sounding arguments has been debunked, and can be easily researched on the Internet.
I would challenge you to research clay pigeons claims for yourself. I believe you will easily find that everything stated was false, not researched correctly, taken out of context or mis-quoted.

what proof? The age of the earth is not a proven fact. Everything that has been aged has been done so through carbon dating which the inventor of it has stated it is not a reliable source as it can be off by hundreds or even thousands of years either way. No proof there friend. Science tends to fill in gaps with suppositions and that is all. there is so much room for assumption in fossil records as well as other sources that no one knows how old things really are. And further more, why does our belief in something bother you anyway? no one is forcing you to worship GOD and don't tell me that it is forced down your throat because people want to pray for you or what ever, that is just plain dumb, it's like someone telling you about a good restraurant and someone else saying it sucked. don't worship GOD for all we care. we just chose to worship a GOD you chose to worship yourself.

Wow, if I could buy you for what your worth and sell you for what you think your worth, my retirement plans would be well set.

First of all, don't glom all Christians together. I happen to believe in evolution and have no idea how old the Earth is, but I am a committed Christian. I am not alone. So take your pithy little rant and shove it (I'm Episcopal, we can say that).

By the way, when you write about the Earth, as opposed to dirt, it is capitalized.

You're a doofus.

Just where in the Bible is the age of the earth disclosed? How long is a day to God who created time? A day was a period of creation and could have been 10 minutes or 10 billion years. Time means nothing to God... Ok what else do you have now that I have shown that your ideas of the time you thought the Bible taught about creation are wrong.. If you don't know what you are talking about don't talk....

Because they have never and let me say it again NEVER disproved the Bible - as a matter of fact - it has been proven over and over again.

You may have monkey ancestors - but mine are human. Seen any monkeys that have matured into humans - why not - because it did not happen.

Mixed some chemicals together and created Life? No - it can't be done.

Seems science still has some proving to do!

Because nothing in the Bible has been disproven yet! The age of the Earth..........well, who's to say that when God formed the dirt into the big ball that we call Earth, He didn't use the dirt that had been floating around in empty space for millions of years? Unless some scientist was THERE, or can provide some 100% accurate, without-a-doubt, undeniable proof.........you don't have a case.
