Humping is an expression of frustrated dominance in dogs. If there is no female in heat around, it has nothing to do with sex/breeding. Your dog thinks he can be the leader of the pack. His humping your leg means he is trying to dominate you. He needs proper training; a "girlfriend" will actually make his behavior generally worse. You need to find a good obedience course.

What you need is to get him neutered and correct his inappropriate behavior when he tries to hump people! Breeding him will make this problem a lot worse, and he may start lifting his leg all over your house.

no. Dont bred anymore dogs! There are thousands of dogs put to sleep a month because of over population. I recommend that you have your dog spayed, then your dog could hump its gf and there will be no negative consequences. Dont bred!

No, but maybe the Vet. can suggest what to do for this problem, besides a g/f. Look on the net, for answers for dog behaviors.

Believe me! a girl friend will only make matters much worse..as she is only tolerant of such behavior for 1 week, twice per year..that is very frustrating for an intact male....gf ALWAYS has a 'headache'.
the best solution is to have him neutered.
