All of my air ducts are filthy with dust and what not and when the sunshine cracks thru my blinds I can see dust particles floating in my room. I figure since I see this with the sunlight its like this with my whole house/rooms. So how bad is it to breathe this stuff in day and night?

Bad.

It might leads to asthma. You should vacuum or vent the air inside of your house/rooms. Try to open the window and do some house cleaning every once in a while.

picture those particles floating in your lungs... take your sweeper and clean them out. Ive even taken my vent grills to the car wash and hosed them off.
