There's no drive through so you're safe there. Midday rushes are terrible, but mcDonalds and Burger king have those too. You have more strife on a subway line due to the fact that the person is right there when you make their sandwich, giving them the priviledge to whine and b itch about every mistake they perceive wrong with their sandwich and / or the ability to question the sanitation of the facility and it's glove policies. Notice that at both mcDonalds and Burger king neither facility requires gloves to make the food, yet subway does and simply because it's brought to public attention they constantly question the sanitation because it's right there in front of their eyes. Out of sight out of mind they say. Subway is very accommodating to the customer, which usually means a lot of stress on the employee side of the deal. Building sanitations and wiping tables, mopping floors, cleaning windows and bathrooms are a part of all three so there's no escaping that. Buns and meat are premade at Burger king and Mcdonalds but subway requires food preparation before it can be put onto a sandwich. Extra work there. Not to mention the fact you have to bake the bread as well. That combined with phone orders who usually possess a coin flip of a chance of actually coming to pick up the sandwich, and party sub orders. It's more trouble than it's worth. I'd stick with burger king and Mcdonalds.

I think subway seems like a slightly more dignified position than McDonalds or Burger King. It actually requires the skill of knowing how to make a sandwich. Other fast food places require very little effort, they just heat the stuff up and throw it together.

Personally i think it depends on you. if you enjoy your job you're going to think it's better than working at McDonalds or Burger king....subway just happens to be much more healthier. but you still work just as hard at any other fast food joint

It seems that the employees at Subway tend to be a bit classier and less retarded looking. If I had to choose I'd pick Subway.. then McD's and I'd kill myself before I worked at Burger King.

It's fast food. I guess it's bad. But I wouldn't think it was as bad as McDonalds, or Burger King.

What's the stigma with working at a fast food restaurant? It's a job where you have a supervisor, work with other people, and earn a paycheck. Most jobs in this world are like that... I don't understand why jobs have to be labeled as "glamorous" or not.
Consider your time working in this field as a rite of passage. Someday you'll look back on it and smile.

Work is work. There is nothing deeming to work for fast food industry. I have done lots of 'unimportant ' work. Sold popcorn on the streets, clean toilets. These are honest jobs, nothing wrong with them. And people will always eat and ****. Imagine a plumber unblocking a toilet, hard hem. The best of it all is that you come home with a pay cheque and the cops are not behind you.
