Satan has taken over the music department of many churches with his "contemporary christian music", but not all of them yet. There are still a few stubborn believers that cling to the Hymns and Psalms of heaven.

Satan wanted to invent rock and roll to deflect the corporate mismanagment of international politics and democracy. Because he is funny that way. He likes boys and girls who rave to go to church. However, nice resonant baroque chamber music is ok too. Satan judges not. It is not all that stubborn to pray to find your soul in the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven. They have good parties! Sure, 6000 years is a long time, so keep your coatcheck stub. It doesn't pay to walk home in the bitter cold.

Satan did not invent the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, in continuous use for almost 1700 years. Satan did not invent the other Orthodox liturgies in use today.
Satan has had some role in developing the Catholic masses.
Liturgy is from the greek, litourgia, meaning the work of the people.
One will not see contemproary music during any Orthodox service. I've visited other churches where contemporary Christian music was played and I've left very quickly.

that's like asking why do no longer the baddies only kill James Bond 5 minutes into the action picture. It only does not sell many copies if the story grow to be that short, might it? The authors needed to spin it out into an epic artwork of fiction.

Don't worry, christianity will die out just like every other religion does and so will rock and roll. Eventually they will have scientifically formulated music that causes you to get the most pleasure from music and religion that is based on facts.
