Why are you asking this under Politics - Immigration? You can buy the grass in previously grown piece of sod or plant. I don't think a three inch container will do - you will need something deeper and bigger. Hardwood stores (Home Deport and Lowes) have it as well as places like Wal Mart and other store that have a Garden Center.

Grass seed at any Lowe's, Home Depot.. Walmart.. the problem is if you want ONLY a 3" pot, that is difficult because they sell grass seed in bags.

You can do it in 8" radius pots, I've known people to do it for Easter baskets. I don't see why 3" wouldn't work.

Nice to have a plot of land to call your own...

You can get seeds at a nursery. Or at Target. Etc.

go to your local hardware. They have lawn seed.
