all i can say is that i had once dated a Mormon and he was weird. his family was very rude and demanding from others. and also, i read a book that was based on a true story about a woman that married into a Mormon family and the husband was acting weird. they had 4 daughters a 1 son. well two daughters ended up dead and no one figured out how they died. till one night the husband and the whole Mormon church drugged and took the other two daughters and the wife and tried to sacrifice them. but the husband got caught (the wife was suspicious through out the whole book and had an investigator to follow her wherever she went) and the husband got jail tI'me and im pretty sure the death sentence for his sacrifices. and it was true. there is a string of Mormons that still believe in sacrifices. and its scary to know that. and also, J. Smith was a little dark with his religion, so it doesn't surprise me to know that he wanted to state "sacrificing" in his "other testament from god". hope this could help.

It depends on your point of view. Do you believe the Koran came from God. Muslims do. So if you're Mormon, you absolutley believe the Book of Mormon came from God.

I'm a Christian, and personally, I believe the Bible was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. I believe the same is true of the Book of Mormon and the Koran.

If you take the time and are openminded enought to look, you'll see that most religions inspire humankind to the same answers about the universe, heaven and how we should treat people.

Jeremiah,

I don't even know if I should tell this one, since I am not positive of it's source. One day, I was discussing the LDS movement with a friend. When the subject of the founder's credibility came up, my friend said that he had read on the internet, that Mr. Smith had a long history of fraud, and had a magic rock, that he charged farmers money, to use to find treasure on their land. He then said, that years later, after the Mormon religion had been established, a curious reporter did a background check on Mr. Smith. When the reporter published the story of his questionable past, Mr. Smith attempted to burn down the newspaper office. A gunfight ensued, in which Mr. Smith was fatally wounded, and thus ended his checkered career. Again, I can't verify this material, it is what a friend told me. If it is not true, I apologise to anyone I might have offended.

The book of mormon came from some dead indian according to J Smith it is not the bible... He also claimed to Have received the true bible directly from his god and that it was the only bible and that the "Christian Bible" was false and the 'christians" were the enemy... yet to this day the lost and Deceived of Satan(LDS) are not instructed from that bible...instead the LDS are instructed from other books and from The very Bible J Smith said was false...The King James... the LDS even give the King James free to any who answer their recruting adds... why do they not use the bible that all of the founding leaders said was the only bible?????? bedcause even they know it is false as are all the rest of the claims of J Smith and his henchmen...

and now instead of calling Christians openly the enemy as did there founder and his hencmen...they now...for PR reasons...claim to actulay be christian... which they for sure as hell are not...

Only the Holy Bible came from God - any other book claiming to save is a lie.

The book of mormon was written by Joseph Smith. There are scholars of the time that received rubbings of this so called biblical document, all of whom laughed at it. It was a series of circular patterns in which random greek letters and heiroglyphics were placed with no coherency whatsoever. All scholars have dismissed it as a hoax, barring those who are mormon. Joseph Smith was known to have created 4 religions based on witchcraft prior to creating mormonism. He was in and out of prison for fraud, and was a treasure hunter.

The claims are insanely ridiculous, including technology such as glass windows being present on the ships that crossed to America. There is no archeological evidence for it as there is for every other piece of Scripture, just what was claimed in the book.

He and his father are the only ones who claim to have been able to translate this document, and that in and of itself is exceptionally suspicious, because it received no outside viewing as every other book of Scripture. It's not something with any credibility to it.

It is called the Book of Mormon, it came from God, and it was only TRANSLATED by Joseph Smith. It does not replace the Bible, it supports it. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. (Remember the "other sheep" in the book of John? It is their story.)

Yes. Read it for yourself. Do not take the opinions of others. Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God.

The book of Mormon only testifies that Jesus is the Christ. It compliments the bible. It is the most correct of any book on the earth.

Joseph Smith was kind of a wierd dude. From what I understand he was always kind of a mystic and that evolved into the book of mormon. You should read Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin. It really goes in depth into the origin of the Mormon religion

Just like the Christian Bible, it was written by man (or men) that had no clue.
