exterior coatings have much higher levels of mildewcides in them and can create a problem for chemically sensitive people if used inside. children would be touching it frequently and that's not a good idea. interior paints lack the durability for use outside.exterior paints have a higher level of solids(things left behind after curing) that interior paints have. these solids create durability.
