My son's Dr this past weekend says that's what he is, he had a long beard and suspender's, very nice gentleman and great Dr.

I'm not exactly sure, but when I used to live in Stanislaus County, CA, there were a lot of German Baptists there. They wore traditional-type clothes, like the Mennonite families you see in Ohio. I assume that as a religious group they're somehow theologically related to the Mennonites and the Amish, who also have roots in what wasn't even Germany yet when they got started, right? That's about all I know.
