If you are comfortable say the same thing back.
If your best friend is your boyfriend as well - like I thought mine was - and then follows up by saying support me in my new relationship - then you can write back saying f u scumbag.

be honest in how you feel back, just because someone feels a certain way about you doesn't mean that it has to be reciprocated.

Are you afraid you might be gay? Just because men show affection doesn't mean they are gay. However, if you want to have sex with only men..well.......
Maybe you should stop sitting home wondering about your sexuality and go socialize with and try to kiss some girls.

just say 'i like you too'
use like rather than love so that the meaning is less likely to be misunderstood
you may wish to put nice things about her too - but also include how she is with other people - not just the you and her things - again that is less likely to be misunderstood

my friends tell me they love me all the time and i reply back the same
although one friend didn't like doing it and would put silly things till she got over the embarrassment
isn't it a shame though that we cant tell our friends we love them without feeling there is some sort of stigma attached

I would tease them (in a nice way) and say they were gay but then I would be serious and say I love them and lets never speak of this again!
