I love the Left Behind series. No, I will not be left behind, the secret rapture is true. God will take away all the Christians (dead and alive) and leave the non-Christians on earth. But don't worry they will still have a chance through the 7 years (if they make the 7 years) to accept God into their hearts.

I've read all of the first 14 books, and plan to read the last one as soon as it goes paperback (so it'll match the rest of my collection lol!) The Rapture, which was release on 6/6/06 of all days. I don't believe in a pre-trib rapture. I don't really believe in a rapture at all. But I found that if I read the books and just ignored the very first part where everyone disappeared, they were good. I think they got some of it right and some wrong, but who really knows for sure?
The Left Behind books were good clean entertainment. I read through each one in about two nights........a few I read all in ONE night lol. I've seen the movies, which except for the third one just weren't all that good.
Like I said, except for the unbiblical theory of a secret rapture, I found them to be pretty sound, scripturally speaking.

The second coming is the event(noun) and the Rapture(verb) from the Greek rapiso(hope I spelled that correctly) is what takes place at the second coming. The word rapture does not appear in the Word of God. 1 Thess 4:17 the word caught up is harpazo( greek meaning catch away,up, pluck, pull, take(by force)).
2 Thess 2 let's us know that it will not be a secret or come as a thief in the night becasue Paul told believers what to look for.

I read all of the Left Behind series and I enjoyed every one. I absolutely believe there will be a rapture, not because of what these books said but because it is what the bible says and I believe the bible to be the word of God. Jesus will return for his people in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. The dead in Christ shall rise first and those of us that remain will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. No man knoweth the hour or the day of his return except the Father knoweth. God Bless You.

The books are fiction. They got some things right, and many things wrong. For example, biblically, the bible does not tell us we'll be saved from the tribulation, it says we'll be saved from the final wrath, which is at the end of the tribulation. This could mislead so many thinking because they're still here thru the trib God doesn't love them. So, that could turn out badly for many. Also, in the series, all believers get the mark of God, which biblically, is only the 144,000, 12,000 each from the 12 tribes. So that's way off. Everyone will not get that mark.

I suggest you read the bible for yourself and you'll understand. If anything, just reading the book of Revelation will explain a lot.

The Left Behind Series is fictional, but simular things will happen. The Lord will return like a thief in the night, and yes, many will be left behind.

It is a fictional work about a fictional event that cannot be proven from the Bible. Jesus put all questions of a secret rapture to rest.

"Then Jesus told them another story: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. That night, when everyone was asleep, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat and then left. Later, the wheat sprouted and the heads of grain grew, but the weeds also grew. Then the man's servants came to him and said, 'You planted good seed in your field. Where did the weeds come from?' The man answered, 'An enemy planted weeds.' The servants asked, 'Do you want us to pull up the weeds?' The man answered, 'No, because when you pull up the weeds, you might also pull up the wheat. Let the weeds and the wheat grow together until the harvest time. At harvest time I will tell the workers, "First gather the weeds and tie them together to be burned. Then gather the wheat and bring it to my barn..." Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His followers came to him and said, "Explain to us the meaning of the story about the weeds in the field." Jesus answered, "The man who planted the good seed in the field is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed are all of God's children who belong to the kingdom. The weeds are those people who belong to the Evil One. And the enemy who planted the bad seed is the devil. The harvest time is the end of the world, and the workers who gather are God's angels. "Just as the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all who cause sin and all who do evil. The angels will throw them into the blazing furnace, where the people will cry and grind their teeth with pain. Then the good people will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. You people who can hear me, listen." (Matthew 13:24 - 43 NCV)

According to Jesus, the people of God and the people of the devil will not be seperated untill the end of the world!

Yes I have read the series, and love it!!! It is based on real events which are to happen in the end times based on the Bible. It is meant to be a "what if" type scenario and help people come to the realization that if you're not ready when God comes, you're going to be left behind.
I am not going to be left. Jesus is my Saviour and my friend.

The Bible says He will come with the sound of a trumpet, with the voice of the archangel and the dead in Christ will rise first. That doesn't sound secret to me.
