I agree. I've noticed people asking non-sensical questions like "what is smarter, a Christian or a sponge". These nonsense accusations have no basis in rational thought or logic. They are only looking to ruffle feathers and not to have a serious discussion. The best way to handle them is to either answer the fool according to his folly or just plain ignore them.
And to them I say, even the foolish seems wise when he stays silent.

Sometimes the stupid questions are supposed to be insightful, clever, or just ironic, but yah a lot of the time it's just really saying "Hey, look at how much I can bash christianity!"
The problem with lumping all of the questions in as stupid and not understanding an intelligent answer if given is that in a large part, you're dehumanizing the answerer (which is really a lot like racism).
Though I suddenly don't have an objective reason why that's a bad thing...

Possibly because religious believers are not really recognised as being intelligent.
My studies and research shows that religious people are not exactly rocket scientists, they tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. In some cases, the more violent the person, the more religious they are. I suspect that the vast majority of religious people are well below average intelligence.
I wonder if trying to improve the intellectual standard of our global community would help remove the various religions from our culture, and thereby improve happiness and peace for humanity.
It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs.
Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts. It’s no wonder why the USA (75% Christian) is so arrogant, aggressive or violent towards others in this world.
80% of the world’s population is religious.
80% of the world’s violence and wars are caused by religion.
80% of religious people are of below average intelligence.
There are numerous examples of the above, but such statistics are ignored or more importantly, deliberately concealed by religious groups.
Hope the above helps you in your time of need.

Why do many people make sweeping generilizations of Christians mostly in the negitive way when most of the time it is't true?
I am a Christian, I answer itelligent questions, I sometimes answer ignorant questions, I am in a war against ignorance... I try to set folks straight with the facts....
It is the facts as they are, that I present, vs. the truth as others see it, which is false and fictional...
I also try to share my faith and I fight the good fight of trying to tell people the truth about Christianity, I try my best to refute the lies spread about us Christians, but alas, I am but one Christian in a godless world... God help me...
God bless you, I hope that one day you may be open minded and understanding of the Truth as well....

They won't be able to understand Spiritual Answer's either, unless they have been Born-Again.
BUT, if we peak their curiosity (plant seed's) so that they will start seeking for the TRUTH, and they WILL hear some Word of GOD through us, then, we can help GOD get them SAVED.
I try to stay away from the hard-core antagonist's.
REMEMBER too, alot of other People read these answer's.

If questions are being asked about Christianity then truly someone has to answer. It depends on your view of the question being asked. If you think it is stupid, then that's your opinion. it doesn't mean that it is stupid, just because you think it to be. that's why there is freedom of speech.

Because they are not so secure in their faith that they can resist taunting.
Now why is it when I ask serious questions of Christians I'll be lucky to get one whose answer is actually relevant and the rest will be irrelevant?

Because a Christian wants to be kind, even if the question is stupid.
You are getting answers, aren't you?

They answer trying to convince themselves they are right, they are more intelligent than us unwashed masses. This way they think they do really believe.
