He used to treat me like i was the best thing in the whole world. He would do anything and everything for me. He used to say the most amazing things. Now that we have been together so long things are different. He still loves me but he spends most of his time sleeping or playing online poker. He tells me he loves me but it sounds more routine than emotinal. The last time he was affectionate was only because he was high and i know he ment what he said but I dont want to loose him, I want to make him feel the way he used to about me and if he still does i want him to show it, i have tried telling him a million times and he responds with whatever or something of that effect. how can i get him to spend more time with me and be madly in love with me again? Or when you are with someone for so long you cant have that anymore?

He's used to you. All guys that age are like that (I'm guessing....16 or 17? 20 the latest). If you want him to show feelings for you again, time to upgrade to someone more mature. Trust me...this coming from a dude who knows how a dude thinks.

If he is acting like this only after two years together what do you think six or eight years will be like? You shouldn't have to convince him to spend more time with you or fall in love with you again. That is a total waste of your time....find somebody that will appreciate you when he is not under the influence of a narcotic! Just so you know when you break up with him I bet he will start chasing you like a puppy dog. Guys always seem to want what they can't have. Find somebody else...you deserve better.

Always remember this quote....."a relationship is spose to ENHANCE your life not BECOME your life" so if your stressing over somthing in your relationship ESPECIALY affection than no matter how long youve been together...there is never a bad time to leave and find somthing better, cuz one should never ask for affection cuz thats the only thing that comes from the heart..and is given every second you are together...

Things certainly won't stay peachy forever. You both have to work at it. Treat him like you want him to treat you. If you're still the only one giving after some time, then it's time to walk. There are good guys out there. Good luck.

i was in a serious relationship for 2 years and trust me i know exactly how you feel. you need to create excitement in your lives. obviously the romance fades from time to time and it will just become like a habit to be with eachother. plan a dinner on a boat, plan a vacation , read the kama sutra, go out to party more often. just keep planning. when he sees you trying to add excitment he will shape up too and who nos probably suprise you with a rose or a gift;)

He is on drugs???? omg leave that loser!
he will never love you the way you want or need. he will only love his drugs and your money that pays for his next hit. leave him and find someone that is clean.
