"Many of the genes in humans and animals are descendants of ancient genes that have duplicated, mutated and changed their function. Petr Tvrdik and Mario Capecchi, at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, US, have now managed to demonstrate this by recreating an ancient gene from two of its modern descendants." - New Scientist 07 August 2006.

LOL 'bible-ish', I suggest you brush up on your inadequate knowledge of the theory(NOT hypothesis) of evolution, there's a good chap.

stormbabe, have you even READ any work relating to evolution that is not 150 years old? And Darwin's 'deathbed conversion' is a well-known xtian deception. You really should research more-less chance of looking so foolishly ill-informed...

that's interesting....and did you know that Charles Darwin originally made up evolution because he simply could not believe that the native people of South America could ever become as "highly intelligent" as him, due to their skin pigment and way of life? Yep, quite a prejudice bloke. And did you know that right before his death, Darwin renounced his teachings and asked God to forgive him? It's actually in the Science textbooks. Interesting, eh?

Hens' teeth and three-toed horses...This is somewhat old news.
