Lose weight and your clothes will be loose!!! Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

I have tried just about every fad thing that ever invented to lose weight, and they're right, the only thing that ever worked was cutting calories and exercising, at the same time. I have tried just cutting calories and I stay the same, I have tried just exercising and I stay the same. My best results have been to lose 5 lbs in one week, accomplished by 5 miles walking per day and 3 days fasting, Monday, Wed. Friday and only 1200 calories the other days. Sorry it isn't easier. :-)

Diet and exercise; there is NO QUICK WAY to lose weight. Anything on TV that promises quick weight loss is a scam (losing weight by taking pills can be dangerous because they can raise your heart rate; some athletes have died taking pills such as Metabolife).
The best thing to do is pace yourself when losing weight. Take your time, be patient, and it will come off. You didn't gain weight overnight and you can't expect to lose it overnight.

Drop sodas and sugary foods and drink water, water and nothing but water. Drink it like it's going out of style!!!! You'll be peeing away pounds in no time. Walking (fast paced) is the best excercise to shed it in a hurry.

no seriously I'm teasing
there is no quick way - please don't do anything that will be detrimental to your health. Only a balanced diet low in fat / sodium etc and lots of fresh air and exercise will help you to lose weight.
what a wet blanket I am eh? teehee - I should follow my own advice

Exercise more.... Cardio (walk/run/bike/swim)
Drink lots of water
Don't skip meals, you will just gain it all back once you start eating again. Just eat smaller meals more often.
