I am just looking for a way around the boring conversations. I've made cue cards for her to make the conversations more exciting, and I've even held my breath until I pass out to try to liven things up; nothing works with this one.
If she thinks I cannot hear her, I am thinking that maybe she won't speak to me.

Cherry_Blossom: Yes, this is the same one, but she hasn't locked me in it yet...I just think that she really wants to; she's the only co-worker I don't think very well of, but I am pretty nice to her nonetheless. I am surprised you remembered this! :)

When I try to "get rid" of my annoying co-worker...or even telemarketers, I simply speak in Finnish....eventually they shut up and go away. :)
If you don't speak another language...just reply to everything she says with "That's what you think" eventually she will get annoyed and if not, put those ear plugs in and say "LA LA LA LA!!"
Good luck.

Hahaha well i think that is a brilliant idea, oh but then if she sees that you can't hear her she might talk louder, then she would be bothering everyone. Well this co worker of yours sure is a hand ful, oh you could try locking her into the closet before she gets to you. Then she won't bother you any more and i don't think she would be smart enough to sing bad techno music and bang things around. GOOD LUCK!!

Hmm. It's amazing. You must be one fascinating person for your co-worker to continue to want to talk to you. So sorry about her boring conversations. You must be so bored by her comments. I wonder how she feels about you?
Too bad she doesn't wear ear plugs around you. Are you this tacking and insulting around other people, too?

my ears bled today, while i was listening to her story about how horrible her life and family are.

That is perfectly fine and make sure you have a big grin on your face when you point to them....BTW, is she the coworker that locked you in the room/office when she left for the day (tee hee!) My, you must be a character.....(smiles) ;-)

I would suggest that you get a set of headphones and a radio or something to listen too. so then she wouldn't be able to talk to you because you could not hear her when she did talk to you.

Maybe instead of earplus, you could do shots at your desk...I bet she'd look better to you if you had a few.

When she tries to talk to you, put your fingers in your ears and yell "Blah, blah, blah" loudly. She should get the point.
