Your wedding day is one of the most important and most stressful days of your life. You will be the center of attention. It is only natural to be nervous. You should speak to your doctor and find some way to control your anxiety for this one day. You do not want to faint at the altar.

I threw up for days before my wedding, passed out (wasn't drunk either) the night before. It's called nerves. You're making a big, life altering decision, probably the biggest one of your life. Plus, you're the center of attention, and while some people get off on that, others have the exact opposite reaction. So, yes, what you're going through is as normal as it can be. Just try to relax and enjoy your wedding!

BTW, I've been married over 18 1/2 years, so I must have done something right! ;-)

You are clearly overwhelmed by all the excitement.
Consider for a minute that your body is reacting to something. What are your expectations? Have you talked about the future with him?
www.drphil.com has a pre-marital checklist that brings up stuff that will come up and become issues in the future. It is a list of things that are easily overlooked amidst all this excitement.
Maybe this checklist will ease some of your tension and give you some realistic and practical things to think about and focus on. You are probably afraid (as we all are) of the unknown (what the future holds). So slow down, take an hour to yourself with a computer, visit www.drphil.com, print out the list, look it over.....
later, show it to your man, chat about stuff, share your thoughts with each other....
You should feel better after this. You will still be excited, but not so worried.
Rmemeber, if you think you will be unsuccessful, you will be right.
Congratulations, and enjoy!

for one don't pay attention to Doug J he don't know what hes talking about. for two your just nerves just relax when my bother got married his wife was the same way so they went to the justice of the peace like 3 days before the wedding got married then had the wedding she was much calmer sense she was already married

your having performance anxiety not anxiety about getting married.

The correct answer is...everyone feels like that. Everyone gets anxious before their wedding. "Am I making a mistake? Do I really want to do this? Is it too soon?" RELAX... it's perfectly normal and there's nothing wrong. You love him, he loves you, and the wedding will go off without a hitch.

Enjoy your new life together. And congrats in advance.

Hope this helped.

That is a very normal reaction. Maybe thinking this thought will help. What would my life be like if I had never meant him? Then enjoy this special time before the wedding. Then count your blessings.

You probably just had a slight panic attack. You're not used to being the center of attention at functions. ;)

Don't worry - on your wedding day you'll be so busy you won't even notice those people!

Maybe you're just so excited that you're nervous. Calm down and relax. Take deep breaths slowly and maybe you can talk to the man you're marrying and see if he can reassure you that everything will be OK-or go talk to your Mom, maybe she felt the way you did on HER wedding day.
