No, I haven't known anyone personally who's received the stigmata, but a surprisingly large number of saints (and blesseds - people who've been declared holy, but haven't yet been declared saints) have been reported to have had it. I believe the total number is 62. Admittedly, I'd be a little cautious and even skeptical about them since it's certainly possible that some were faked or misreported, but I do believe that the phenomenon is real. Probably the most famous of all who've born it is St. Francis of Assisi.

I am a deep sleeper. I woke up one morning with the whip marks, and was confused as I am atheist. I went around for a day, wondering about it. When I got home things did not change. My cat would not even come when I called for it. I went to see what happened to the cat, and found it flat on my bed. My skin was under its claws. I had slept on the cat, and it clawed the heck out of me. Not gods doing, but a result of deep sleep. Still atheist, and the cat is better now with not ill effect.
