These things are the hideous monsters of the sea. They are like spiders only tougher and able to swim. Why would anyone want to eat the innards of such beasts???

It was bad enough before I knew about the 'Dead Man's Face'?

They are also scavengers or bottom feeders. Often you can find a whole slew of shrimp and lobster gathered under sewage leeks etc. I have also viewed a terrible picture of what shrimp did to a dead mans face. It was gross, they ate it up!

The best way I can explain it is how we encounter the creatures. Lobsters and crabs are served on a plate, red in color (by the time I see them), and are accompanied by butter to dip them in. Spiders sneak into my house and scare me half to death with their quick little movements and creepy ways. If they were dead and I was used to seeing them on a plate for me to enjoy as a snack, I might feel differently toward them. Now if a live lobster or crab was in my house, I'd freak out too! That would be more terrifying than a spider for sure.

I love all seafood. Have you even tried it? If you did you would probably like it. Where do you think your milk came from? Did you know most foods (such as peanut butter) have a maximum ammount of insect parts allowed? Do you eat yogourt? Do you eat vegetables...either pesticides or if organic lots of bugs probably crawled all over it. Just about any food you eat has a "gross" association to it. Think about it.

With relish!
(And a little lemon butter.)

But I do wonder how the first guy made the choice to eat 'em. I don't remember my first time, but once I knew how delicious shrimp were, the others were easy.

I love the meat from lobsters, crabs and clams, they are the
necter from the sea. Delightful and Delicious.
Did you see Jennifer Beals in that movie Flashdance when she is
eating the lobstermeat. Its a very sexy scene.

Although I do like boiled shrimp, I have to agree with you here. I just don't see anything very appetizing about them!

I don't understand either. My husband eats all that gross stuff and I just cringe. He loves his seafood and I can't fathom why anyone would eat that crap.
