How can you really know if someone loves you. Like how do you know they ''Love " you and its not just you loving them?

In this day and time, it is very hard to know if someone really loves you or not. I have found that out numerous times. I was supposed to get married recently. I loved this guy more than I had ever loved a guy in my life. I thought he loved me. He did little special things for me alot. Two weeks before we was supposed to get married I went ahead and moved in with him. I wanted to get the house all in order so I wouldn't have so much to do when we got married. He told me things would change when I moved in. I just thought he meant we wouldn't spend as much time together because he was one who had to stay busy. I graduated with this guy. He would drink a couple of beers just about every day but that was it. I had no idea what I was going to find out and go through. We dated the first time for 7 months. My job took me away for a while. We got back together and dated 10 months before we became engaged. I really thought he loved me. When I moved in it all started. I found out he was a big time alcoholic. I NEVER saw him drink more than 2 beers at one time. He abused me mentally and physically. He beat me more than once. He took me out into the country and was going to cut me up into pieces. By the grace of God, I escaped. This all happened within 1 week. Alot of people didn't know he was a alcoholic. Now I have Post Tramatic Stress Disorder because of this. This disorder is what alot of men have come home with during the wars. It is a living hell. You never really know someone until you live with them. And my last 3 relationships have been a one sided deal. I loved them with all my heart and soul and did anything in the world for them. I also believed that they loved me. But it is not true love when someone runs around on you, hits you, lies to you, isn't there for you, the list goes on and on. It is so hard to know whether you are truly loved in return the way you love them. Just give it some time please. You give it time and your answer will be answered. I will be thinking of you ALOT. All I can really tell you without going into a very exhausting explanation is just to observe how he behaves. If he treats you well (politely and romantically) and he tells you nice things from time to time, then the chances of him loving you are very high. It's the same thing for women: if a woman treats you that way, chances are she's in love with you. People say things like "I love you" in some of the most unloving relationships, but real love is as much doing as it is saying. Good luck!

Well if iit feels like you have no care in the world when your with them you might love them but Love cant be defined in words. Its a feeling that cant be described that only happens when your with that person. The feeling isnt the same for everyone so you would have to know on your own.

If you know they would do anything for you just to make you happy. If when you look in their eyes you can tell it's the truth when they say "I love you", and you have NO DOUBT that they might be lieing. If they love you for you and you never had to change for them ever. If you feel comfortable around them where you know you can act yourself infrount of them. If when they would do ANYTHING to put a smile on your face! You just have this great feeling in you...and you just kinda know it's love. And it's a great feeling. Never doubt it...open your eyes, heart, and mind...and you won't miss it. Good Luck!!!

You would know some one loves u only if they can go out of the way for u no matter what it is. Also if they show alot of interest for u and show u that u alone is the love of his/her life and no one else. in addition to that he/she would not hesitate to buy things that he/she know would make u happy. That person would be always beside u and make u their number one piority.

hey! im glad u asked this question...i alwayz thot does my BF now really love me...the answer is yes ohkay i nvr really knew cuz i was unsure but then i thot about it...and the only way u kno is just like ur gut feeling and i HAVE "that feeling" u kno itz just whenever yall r together u can tell he enjoys it and he smiles wit u constantly just ever moment is good yall have yallz fights but making up is wat u two wait for..soo to answer ur question there is no sure SIGN itz just ur GUT feeling...hope that helps

if you feel that what love you give him he gives back to you & if you feel its not 50/50 then it may not be love on someones part, but if you feel like you try and try and get nothing back then sorry to say it may not be love.

im with irishmomof3 all the way.... she is completaly and totaly correct.... o and if they love u unconditionaly.... then u have 2 great guy/girl... lie say u gained abunch of weight if they still loved u more then ever.... u have love

I would have to say it's in the way they look at you. If they have that sparkle in their eye, it's love. It's all in the facial expression.
