Like the title says" Why have the book of mormon?". You say that the "Book of Mormon" is the most accurately written book, and the bible has flaws. The bible was inspired by god, so your saying that gods word is flawed? You can trust a man named Joseph Smith but not god?

The book of mormon is not true. The Bible is though. It is God's word but the book of mormon is not. Mormons say they beleive both but the book of mormon is contradictory to the Bible. The Bible has no flaws but the book of mormon is nothing but.
Sorry to anyone who is a mormon, but maybe they should read up on their own theology.

When mormons indicate that the Bible is "flawed", they are not implying that God's word is flawed, they are saying that due to man's translation and interpretation of the Bible, many things were misinterpreted and/or lost. It's the same reason why most Protestants believe that the true gospel fell away with the Nicene Creed/during Emperor Constantine's reign. Mormons simply believe that God restored a lot of those truths and additional ones through the Book of Mormon. He simply used Joseph Smith as an instrument to bring this to pass.

Why would Jesus have 12 apostles? Isn't his teachings enough? Why is there Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible? Don't they pretty much tell the same story? Wouldn't just one of their stories be enough?
Just as Matthew is another witness for what Mark said and Mark is another witness for hat Luke said and Luke is a witness for what John said, the Book of Mormon is a witness for what the Bible says. It is another witness for Jesus. Just as Jesus had 12 apostles as witnesses for what He taught.
The point is not if Mormons trust Joseph Smith but not God. That is ludicrous. Of course they believe God.
It is not that they don't believe the Bible was inspired by God, it is that Man has changed the Bible so many times. If you do not believe the Bible has been changed by man then you have not looked at too many Bibles. God's word is not flawed but when man changes it then it becomes flawed.

Who the hell are you directing that (and i use the term loosely) question at? Who says that? The book of Mormon looks at the time Jesus was to have been in the Americas. They say it is the most accurate because it is not so arrogant to think that Jesus would only speak to people in the middle east. Now I think you have some "damn everybody that doesn't agree with me issues".Oh and for what i care If there is a ONE TRUE GOD, I hope he has some understanding and forgiveness to him, and I think He would appreciate a good debate.

The Book of Mormon was originally meant as a way for Joe Smith to get a lot of attention so he could eventually become the leader of his own group of followers and never have to get a real job. Most modern Mormons now consider it to be the most important book of scripture followed by the Pearl of Great Price, the Doctrine & Covenants, and lastly by the Bible.
It should be noted however that anyone who blindly follows the Bible is no better than someone who blindly follows Mormonism.

We as Mormon's believe in the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, it is ANOTHER testament of Jesus Christ, the same as the bible. Of course they were both inspired of God, but you have to consider the human error factor and how many times the KJV bible has been translated and retranslated. That is what I think...I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, no if's, and's, or but's.

I heard the book of mormon claims Jesus was born in Jerusalem and will return to Independence missouri...
if you want a book made up by a treasure seeker using divining stones stumblin onto a spirit calling itself the angel moroni... well the book of Mormon is there!!! but the Bible forbids using divination as sinful and Joe Smith is wrong form the start
end of story

I have always had trouble with the book of mormon and mormonism in general. The Bible was given to lots of people and the old testament and the new testament completley mesh with each other. I can't imagine believing or following a man who claimed that God spoke to him in a hat. To so blindly follow one man is like those poor deluded people who followed Jim Jones in guyana and drank the poisoned koolaid. Like South Park said about joseph smith and his magic hat "dum, dum, dum, de, dum"
