I am interested to know what is the christian perspective as to why god doesn't kill satan.

Bear in mind he takes away your life.. so don't blurt out he doesn't kill. Furthermore, remember all the villages god destroyed...Noah, Lot..Pharoah.. They were a lot worse then satan.

So why not kill satan.. biblical verses would be good.

Why Would god kill his assistant?

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Okay. Here is some food for thought. Satan is an angel who fell from God's grace and as his "punishment" was put in charge of the souls that were not "ready" to go to heaven. I don't think of Hell as the burning sulfur lake and all that. I do believe that there is a good (Jesus) and there is evil(Satan). Jesus manages the good souls and Satan manages the bad. The whole ying and yang; good and evil thing. They help to keep things in balance. Think of God as the CEO of Earth and Jesus and Satan are two VPs. God wants the Earth to run smoothly. Free will and all that. Jesus wants peace on earth and goodwill towards man, etc. Satan wants to take over the Earth and he will try at every chance he gets. He wants God's seat. He isn't happy with his own. That is one answer for you.

Here's another. Every religion has a good guy and a bad guy or a good place and a bad place. Most of the stories were used as teaching tools. If you look far enough back in history stories have been turned around to focus on the men instead of on the women. Men wanted women to be subservient. The men wanted to have the power. Go far enough back and you will find that most societies were martiarchal (following the mother's line) not partriarchal (following the father's line). So there were Goddesses not Gods and there were many, not one. Most of the seasonal holidays originally belonged to the Gods and Goddesses of other religions.

In the end it is up for you to decide. Your God may not be the same as my God but in the end does it really matter. God or the Goddess can be many things to many people. It is all a matter of what you hold in your heart and head that matters.

Oh and here is a thought on biblical verses. The bible is a great teacher of what is right and wrong, good and bad. For a long time we were all taught these stories at a very young age. Bible as a teaching tool but it does have all the answers. Sometimes you have to look inside yourself for them.

God did not destroy Noah- and Noah tried to convince people to go with him. Lot- Sodom was a horrible place- and more could have been saved if they had gone with Lot. Pharaoh-would not let the Hebrew slaves go-
In every place and time there were choices to make- and the ones that made the right ones lived. Even when Joshua went into Jericho- Rahab, not a Hebrew was saved- she chose God's way.
In this world we are given a choice. To follow God or not. If this free will was taken away- what would we be? Robots? Slaves?
That was never God's intention.
All He wants is for us to love Him and know that He loves us.
As far as killing satan, his day will come- rest assured.

Well god is probably thinking, " Let it be." He created the world, and if the world needed his help every second then he would probably regret it. Well maybe not but that is my opinion. And there have been hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, sandstorms, and much, much, more natural disasters that God has never stopped. He has a reason for it. He made the world and said," Let it be." That is probably why he doesn't do anything that you can see. But he can cause miracles once you think it isn't possible. He can cause miracle. Yes, indeed. He has caused miracles for me too. So he doesn't want to kill Satan because God doesn't kill anything or anybody. And besides, why would he destroy something that he built?

HE WILL IN HIS TIME< HIS THOUGHTS ARE SO MUCH HIGHER THAN OURS< HE WILL WHEN THE MOST GOOD CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY IT>15 Why, though, has Jehovah allowed suffering to go on for so long? And why does he not prevent bad things from happening? consider two things that Jehovah has determined not to do. First, he has not stopped Satan and those who side with him from trying to prove that they are right. Allowing time to pass has thus been necessary. In the thousands of years of human history, mankind has been able to try every form of self-rule, or human government. Mankind has made some advances in science and other fields, but injustice, poverty, crime, and war have grown ever worse. Human rule has now been shown to be a failure.

16 Second, Jehovah has not helped Satan to rule this world. If God were to prevent horrible crimes, for instance, would he not, in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would God not be making people think that perhaps humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? If Jehovah were to act in that way, he would become party to a lie. However, “it is impossible for God to lie.”—Hebrews 6:18.

17 What, though, about all the harm that has been done during the long rebellion against God? We do well to remember that Jehovah is almighty. Therefore, he can and will undo the effects of mankind’s suffering. The effects of sin will be removed through faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, and the effects of death will be reversed by means of the resurrection. God will thus use Jesus “to break up the works of the Devil.” (1 John 3:8) Jehovah will bring all of this about at just the right time. We can be glad that he has not acted sooner, for his patience has given us the opportunity to learn the truth and to serve him. (2 Peter 3:9, 10) Meanwhile, God has been actively seeking sincere worshipers and helping them to endure any suffering that may come upon them in this troubled world.—John 4:23; 1 Corinthians 10:13.

God doesn't kill Satan because He wants people to have a choice. You see, He doesn't want to force you to follow Him, so He allows you to chose. You can rely on God, and do what is best, or you can live for yourself, which most people think is way more fun. But if you live for yourself, you're following Satan. This can only lead to destruction. People who don't know God are like people sitting on a beach eating...let's say...mud. They see a cruise ship where there are people urging them to come and join them, but all they've ever known is...well...the mud. They don't realize that the cruise ship is WAY better than mud, so they just keep eating the mud.

Because Christians refuse to kill Satan. Too many consider the belief in the devil to be integral to their belief system, rather than simply taking personal responsiblity for their lives and behavior.

When it comes to deities (or devils) belief in, is just a few degrees away from actually worshipping. A scary thought to some here I'm sure. The devil is just a crutch.

A lot of people will say it's all part of God's plan, final victory in the end, etc. Personally, however, I feel that 'Satan' is really more a human invention than a malicious being. He's the evil that people succumb to, the sin we allow ourselves to commit, the violence we perpetrate. 'Satan' is the result of free-will, and will exist until the we achieve the kingdom of God.

Interesting, so if we presume this is just a fable, then i will go along with you for a moment. As far as i am familiar with the scriptures, the second death refers to being in torment, which does not end it is perpetual. Another reference, is a scripture that stated: "let the dead bury the dead, but you follow me". Life, Death, Perhaps the meanings here are more than of the conventional concepts held to be the norm. I realize this did not give an accurate answer to your question, but since it is speculation, factual input may serve to be to a greater advantage, would you not agree. If i am not mistaken in my reading of the scriptures, i do not believe a spiritual being ever comes into the state of non existence.

Hell was created for Satan & his messengers. Satan is going into the abyss for & during the 1000 yr reign of Christ. After that He deceives Gog & Magog & they attack Israel again. God shows His judgment by frying them. Satan then gets thrown into the lake of fire (the second death). Revelations 20.

God gives people a choice to believe God or the devil's lies. Submit unto God, resist Satan & Satan flees.
