I think it sounds horrible. The whole car just vibrates, you can't even hear lyrics or other instruments, just bass. I would rather hear all of the instruments and lyrics, what do you think??

Their hearing has been so blasted out by always having the bass on so high, this is the only way they can hear it.
In this way they are like some elderly or hard-of-hearing people who always want the TV turned up.
Next they will be showing blue-rinse hair and walkers.

Bass is the toughest audible sound-range to produce, so loud bass is a show of POWER.
But to be fair, bass is the longest traveling sound wave. This means that while all the instruments and vocals may be playing at the same VOLUME as the bass sounds, you will only hear the bass notes from far away.
I agree with you. I like ALL my music frequencies played LOUD, but you may see me as a basshead if I drive by, unless you were to get in the car and hear it all.

I love music and really need to hear every instrument and lyric that I can. Alot of bass is good in some songs but too much bass ruins it.
I 'd guess it's an attention deficit in their lives and they are too old to cry.

Some people over do it I give you that. I mean really over do it. However having the base really loud is really crazy sensation. you feel the music vibrating through your body and that is sexy. woohoo I am a base junky and I do not seek help. I do agree with you that there is not enjoyment if you cannot hear the song you are jamming to.
You will know the difference of a base lover to a person trying to show off (that traditionally makes them look like a fool).

some people think that it is off the chizzain to have that crap. I enjoy alot of bass as well but I also invested some money in some high end door speakers to hear the rest of the music too

Because its cool nowadays I personaly love it I have two big sony speakers in my house that has people coming outside 2 see where the bass is comin from

Oh I am sure every one of you people who posted something bad about people listening to their loud bass, does something that someone else just cannot stand..... That being said, I find it stupid too.
