yes. One of my best friends is a guy and there never has been, nor do I think there ever will be, any kind of romance or sex based relationship involved. And no, he is not gay.

Of course there is such a thing. However, you must remember one thing, everyone does not think the same way. There is a friend of mine, we've known each other since I was 9 years and in high school we did date. Folk thought we were going to get married, however that did not work out. We now are able to talk about a number of things, but as I said earlier, some folk do not understand the relationship. We talk and share our trials and woes. He would do anything for me and I would do the same for him.

The thing you must remember, never let your your well doing be evil spoken of.

No there is no such thing. There is either sex, romance, or one of the "friends" secretly cares for the other person.

Anyone who think they have a real friendship with someone where there is no attraction is being naive

I would say yes...my brother in law and I are best friends and always have been...and there is absolutely no sex or romance involved...we just get along great and nothing will ever go any further than just friends...I have a few other guy friends and I know that nothing would ever come of it and they know that also...I don't believe in dating friends...

yes but when you really get to know a girl that well it is hard not to think of her in a romantic way. like she is perfect we enjoy each other's company why wouldn't a relationship work. I have 5 or 6 good female friends, we have done the relationship thing and realized we are better friends than lovers.

Depends

It depends on the girl.
It depends on the guy.
It depends what they want.

Some people only are interested in the other gender for sex; others just want a friend. If both people want to "just be friends", then it will work out fine. But if one person wants more, then it won't work. It may work for a while (weeks, months, years....) but eventually the friendship will fail unless they both just want a good friend.

It's possible. I have one- we went to school together and occassionally hang out, but we haven't slept together and I never intend to sleep with her (and I'm sure she feels the same way).
So, yes, it's possible. I don't think it's too common. Also, I can't speculate what it'll be like in the future (when she or I get married (to other people) or whatever might happen), but I do think it's possible.

Absolutley! Sometimes the best friendships
are between those of the opposite sex.
You can share alot with your different opinions.
Just beware of thier jealous boyfriends

Absolutely!!!! Many men and women are great friends without anything sexual going on between them. That type of friendship is hard to come by sometimes, so if you find it, don't let anything ruin it.
