The Scriptures state that Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father. [John 1:14,18; John 3:16,18; 1 John 4:9] Yet God had already called Israel His Son. [Hosea 11:1] Since only one can be the only begotten of a father, which one is the only begotten Son of the Father -- Israel or Jesus?
Paul, speaking of Christ, calls Him the first begotten [Hebrews 1:6] -- yet God had already said that Ephraim was His first-born. [Jeremiah 31:9] Which was the first-born, Ephraim or Christ?
Paul states that we're reconciled to God by the death of His Son. [Romans 5:10] That very same Paul and in the very same letter also wrote that the world is reconciled by the casting away of Israel. [Romans 11:15] Now which is the reconciliation of the world? Is it the death of God's first-born and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ -- or is it the casting away of Israel?
If Ephraim and Jesus are both God's first-born, and Jesus is His only begotten, as stated in the Holy Scriptures, which cannot be broken, what exactly does that make Adam? For Luke states that Adam was also a Son of God. [Luke 3:38]
Paul states that the story of Abraham is an allegory. [Galatians 4:24] An allegory is a narrative in which abstract ideas are personified. Paul further explains the meaning of some of those personifications. Hagar and Sarah are not flesh and blood women, but they are covenants, and they are both referred to as cities, that is, Jerusalem that is beneath, and the Jerusalem that is above. Since Abraham, according to Paul, is an allegory, and Abraham is listed in the genealogies of Jesus in all of the three synoptic gospels -- what then does that make Jesus?

God the Father is the actual father of Jesus and only Jesus. Christians are adopted sons and daughters of the Father through the new covenant instituted by Jesus' offering of his body and blood. A covenant is not like a legal contract, it does not create a partnership - it creates a family.

Jesus refers to God as a collective father as a term of respect. It is the same reason why a monk calls an abbot father and a senior nun is a mother superior. Also Jesus wishes us to treat each other with the same respect and courteousy that we do members of our own family thus we are all brothers and sisters, children of God.

Because followers who try to observe the ways of Christianity are regarded as Children of God by The Father. Incidentally, the description of The Father by Jesus was far more intimate than "father" - it was closer to "daddy" in modern language.

HMMMM...good question! Because Jesus actually HAS a Father in Heaven, as we do also. Many people believe God the Father and Christ are the same being but they are two separate and distinct person's.

Jesus asks us to call God 'our father' because he is the father of all fathers. As we are his children, then he is 'Our Father.

Jesus is begotten of the father. We lost our son-ship (inclusive of daughter-ship) but as many as call on him we get adopted back to the father.

Jesus is the only begotten son, that way by nature from eternity
because he is that way
the redeemed are children of God by adoption, because we become that way

Jesus is the only son of God that was sent from heaven. we are all god's children. every color, every race, but... if u don't believe in him he doesn't consider u as his child... so when people say that why would he take his children to hell, he's not sending his children to hell he's sending Satan's children to hell where they belong, so be God's child not Satan's.
