I keep getting called chubby. Am I over weight? Re-post cause I worded the other question badly!

Its mostly my family calling me it. My dad used to beat me so I'm just very neurotic (I think thats the word)

ok, why would you think that you are overweight and just barely be in triple digits? You are not that tall, so it is expected of you to be tiny. I'm a few inches shorter than you, and in my 20s and I'm 85 (and YES I eat!), and I'm underweight.

But you are 14, and shouldn't be worried about this.. ESPECIALLY when you are just barely into triple digits... you may even be underweight just like I am.

It all depends on your height, metabolism, and development though.

I'll be the first one to tell you that I understand about worrying about weight- my mother is one of 9, and 7 of them are overweight. I eat and take care of my body. If you do the same, you shouldn't worry.

If you still are worried, I would suggest talking to your mother or a doctor about this. They will be able to help you more. I'm about 99% sure that a doctor is not going to tell you that you are overweight. Get that thought out of your head. And if people at school are giving you trouble or something- tell them to hush and concentrate on what their insecurites are instead of trying to nitpick on yours.

GOD NO!!!! I'de like to know what the H*** society is doing to you kids to make you think this. There is nothing wrong with you. Love yourself for who you are. Forget looking like Brittany Spears or anyone else for that matter. If people are calling you chubby it's probably because it seems to get a response from you. Don't pay them any attention and they will stop eventually. Whenever they say that try changing the subject or something. When they realize that it doesn't bother you they will get bored and move on. lol

im pretty sure you are normal. If anything you might even be underweight, but that all depends on you. If you keep saying to yourself that "if you look good and you feel great there really isn't any reason to lose weight." O, and don't compare yourself to celebrities and models; those people are paid to look good.

you are fine, you are too young to worry about BMI crap. i was the same when I was your age and didn't even break 110 till after I graduated high school. I'm 27 now and I teeter-totter between 113-115.

Your BMI is what determines if you are within a healthy weight range or not.
