They don't have to stick to any rules, but to gain a higher place in heaven a member must,
1, Pay 10% Tithing.
2, Not smoke, drink alcohol or take any stimulants. (Coke)
3, Have a sealed marriage within a Temple.
4, Partake in a mission.
5, Like The Osmond's.

OK, the last one I made up! There are more but I can't remember!!

Mormons, or followowers of the Church of Latter Day Saints is a branch of Christianity. The follow the story of a jouney by mormon to move to America.

They are verty rigid to the whole unity and co-operation thing

Thats all I can recall I am afraid, as we only briefly talked on that in Higher Religious Studies

Mormons believe oral sex is a sin.

Mormons basically have many of the same beliefs as Catholics regarding Jesus but also share beliefs with the Amish as to how to live. They basically follow the teachings of Jesus, some sections of the Old Testament and a document known as the Book of Mormon.

People need to lay off the use of the word "cult." Every modern form of religion is a cult, to anyone who doesn't believe in it. I saw someone call Hasidic Jews cultists once... Methodists, Baptists, and Quakers were all once considered cultists. I think that, by this time, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can shed this label due to the sheer number of followers. I myself am a Wicca, or if you prefer, a Neo-Pagan, and have found those young men on bicycles to be the most open and understanding missionaries I've ever met. They all tell me that their beleifs make them remember the persecution their ancestors suffered, and so are compassionate to others who suffer the same for theirs. Hearing that almost makes me want to join myself...

LDS/Mormons have the Pearls of Faith. Each is left to judge the best way to following the principles of their religion.

Some of the principles include not drinking or smoking, no sex before marriage, faithfulness in the marriage, and giving 10% tithing to the church from any earnings to help the poor. Good members of the church, especially males, go on a mission at age 19 to tell others around the world about their faith. Good members are baptized in the church, sealed in marriage for eternity, and have lots of children to increase the weather/population of the church.

If you have any questions about the faith and don't want someone coming to your house (because they will if you ask), go on line and reserach the subject. Or, you can go to a local library and ready the "Book of Mormon" which should answer ALL your questions.

Well we don't have to stick by anything.. its a choice. We are asked to refrain from harming our bodies with coffee, tobacco, drugs or alcohol. It is sort of a health code because we believe that our bodies are a temple and should be kept clean. We are also encouraged and taught that in keeping your body clean and pure, that a person should not have sex before marriage. You can read all of our basic beliefs at www.lds.org. Just click on "basic beliefs." Hope that helps :)

Ten commandments. However, they mix it with polygamy being the "original and true" Mormonism and belief in multiple Gods. Their doctrine was stillborn from the beginning
