Most conflicts today involve Islamists but this fact is either mostly not known to the larger public or is not made a point of concern.

Is there a saturation point, afterwhich, non-muslims in the media will assert that the war is with Islam itself?

Suppose all the remaining non-muslim countries, that dont currently have constant Islamic terror attacks, suffered the same fate as India, Africa, Phillipines and Israel do today, would that change anything or would we insist that, even though all the attacks come from Islamists, the religion of Islam should not be condemned?

I've been saying it to myself and others for awhile now, this IS a "holy war"... the enemy has already said as much throughout time..

it's hardcore muslims against all infidels..

the only real peace will be when EVERYONE abandons their silly religions..

might I add some words of wisdom from Sir Winston Churchill from over a hundred years ago:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

"A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

"Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50, London: Longmans, Green Co., 1899).

Well, the reason president bush keeps saying Islam is a religion of peace, is because he is afraid to stir up the Muslims. If he said "The Muslims are to blame for this Islam is the root of terror," then all the Muslims on the east coast of the USA would bomb buildings here in the USA. Hezbollah has a large presence in the USA. I believe that Islam is the root of most terrorism in the world today.

I think if there is another Islam-based terrorist attack in the USA, people might wake up and realize that we are at war and Muslims are who we must fear.

I am sure there are many Muslims of good will who would not do terror, but I am afraid that many who do not actually do terrorist acts sympathize with the terrorists.

You know, I dont have to view any URL, I can make a judgment of my own, instead of being 'pointedly influenced' by some one elses rhetoric...

Not all Muslims are "extremists". But, the non-confrontational Muslims, are just as guilty, because they are "letting" this go on!

They could easily turn those extremists in, but, they wont, because of what the Qu'ran says, not to turn against fellow Islamics...(DUH, they are KILLING MUSLIMS! THAT IS FORBIDDEN BY THE QU'RAN TOO!)...

Until they wake up, and say, NO MORE, then there will be violence all through the Middle East.

Though, the extremists are now trying to make it a "holy war" against the World, by blowing up different things in different Countries, to bring on Armegeddon, or the Apocolypse, they are a few bricks shy of an army, and not enough extremists to do enough damage to start the World War III...But, it "maybe" getting close as a lot of Countries are not going to put up with this silliness for long...(The reason they are letting Isreal beat up on Lebannon, to get rid of a terrorist group, hezbollah).

Muslims have reached the "saturation point", where violence is an every day occurance, and they weep and woe, but, wont stop it, and blame it on the United States as the Great Satan. (We are so easy to blame, after all our Government has done to a lot of these Countries that we dont even know about...and we wonder "why" they hate us so much!!).

I wish you well...

Jesse

It will take a lot for the world to condemn the religion, for the simple reason that we have become so politically correct that we don't believe in absolute truth anymore.
What is right to one man is as correct as what is right to another, even if what the first man believes is right states that the other is wrong.
I know that thinking sounds completely rediculous, but that is the common liberal thinking in the world today. It does not matter that aproxamately half of the Koran is violent (the half that Mohammed wrote after he was rejected in Mecca.) It does not matter that Sharia law conflicts with freedom and democracy. It will take a lot for anyone to openly state that the problem is in the religion itself, because no one wants to be called intolerant for stating what they think openly, even though keeping people from stating what they think openly is intolerance in itself.

The war in ( general ) is really with Islam in general, the few that are peaceful just don't care enough to take their own country, and we are wasting our time in Iraq and Afganastan. Either conquor them or get out.. They will never change and the peaceful ones will always be dominated by the terrorist mentality...It just can't be done this way. The cry like babies when they die, but still attack everyone else...
The muslims who say they are peaceful are just too few and don't do anything for their countries. If you are peaceful become some other religion... IT IS JUST TOO TOO MUCH every day they blow themselves up...every day..

How long was Ireland embroiled in conflict between "Catholics" and "Protestants"? Do we truly blame Christianity for that, or can we recognize that it was more a political struggle? Religion was just a handy excuse, and the same is true of the Middle East.

I think we're reaching the "saturation point" on all religions. They're a cancer on all society. Not Just Islam...ALL religion. You are the problem not the solution. Can we end the friggin crusades already...please.
