Hard question...it´s a bit tricky...

Uninstall the new program in the control panel - Add or Remove programs, sometimes this is not enough so you have to go to the Safe Boot...

While re-booting the computer press F8 a menu will appear and you will enter the Safe Boot on Windows (WARNING: On the safe boot if you uninstall anything but programs your computer will stop working if it doesn´t find the correct drivers).

There you can uninstall the program.

After that download the old version of the program and re-install in Windows normal mode.

Uninstall version 10 using the add/remove programs control panel, then install version 9.

you will probably have to uninstall the program and then reinstall 9. For windows XP, go under start, control panel, add or remove programs, and then add/remove window components. wmp is towards the bottom of that list.
