Am so confuse by this,when i read muslim texts they say Abraham was the first but same texts say Khadijah was the first convert....how come

Abraham (pbuh) is the father of Ishmael (pbuh) they brought the teachings of Allah to the people of Arabia.
When Muhammad (pbuh) first received revelation the first to convert was Khadijah

The word of God (e.g. the Torah) had been sent down through the ages by various messengers (i.e. prophets like Jesus), but it had been altered by man.
Islam became a formal religion when the prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) received the word of God over many years - the final, unaltered collection is the Qu'ran.
In the period before the Qu'ran was revealed to Muhammed (peace be upon him), Muslims still believe that the prophets sent before him were sent by the same God (Allah). This is probably why you're confused - yes, we believe Abraham (as with the others) were Muslim too.
In the period when the Qu'ran was revealed and Islam became a formal religion, Khadijah was the first convert to Islam - the original message which was now formalised.

Islam was there right from the time of Adam and Eve, the only problem was more and more people were going astray, like worshipping many Gods. At different times, Prophets like, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad and many more, were sent by God to tell them to worship just one god. The name Islam was given during Prophet Mohammads time.

Around 600 AD after Muhammad returned from several trips to present day Israel and discovered the God of those with whom he was trading (Jews). Up to that time the people of his land worshiped several Gods.

b4 knowing when it started u should know wat it is and wat it means. ISLAM when translated from arabic 2 english means PEACE AND SUBMISSION TO ONE GOD.
v muslims beleive in ALLAH. Allah when translated from arabic to english means SUPREME BEING.

islam started the very day man set foot on earth. meaning that islam was born with adam (pbuh)and eve(pbuh)
later wif time, depending on the situations and the state of the world, god sent many prophets, giving them each a set of doctrines, a set of rules to follow, so that man may b happy, not god.
islam was re-established wif every prophet coming with the final muhammed(pbuh).
thus it took 1,24,000 prophets (pbut) to complete islam to its perfection. some of the prophets include
