We've been having great times together with a few fights over little things. She said it may be because of our personalities clash, but I don't think someone should be exaclty like me, at least that's what I want. Our physical intimacy has been almost absent, but I don't think that defines the difference between boyfriend and girlfriend or does it?

Uh - if you're not physical, what's the point? Intimacy is the thing she craves as a woman.

Get to packing, bro. Yes, break means break up. You don't have to put up with that crap. I swear, you can find a girl that won't ever want to take a break.
Often times when people break up with other people, they want to do it with as little hastle as possible. By not saying the full phrase "break up", she is letting you salvage some of your pride by severing all ties. If you take initiative and say, "I think you're right, we do need a break", then she will either
a) Reconsider and respect you
or
b) be gone for good. And you'll be better off for it!

I think that it means she doesn't want to break up but she wants to see if theres anything better out there for her. I don't know if I'm right about that one but I can tell you to give her space. If she comes back, she comes back.

It depends if you have been doin too much with her and she needs space or not doin enough with her. Maybe she feels bored or unappreciated.
