Not certain in which you're getting your knowledge, however Wiccans are available all styles and sizes. We consume meat, greens, herbs, culmination (balanced Diet) AND purchasing stuff over the web additionally does not make you a Wiccan. one million. Read all you'll be able to on Wicca (Start with Scott Cunningham's books.) If you pay concentration you'll be able to study even from the ones books others let you know to not learn. Knowledge is finally energy. two. You are not able to convert "now" for 2 causes, a) you ought to research a 12 months and an afternoon BEFORE you'll be able to devote your self. and b) you do not sound like you're 18 or older. No one will contact you until you're 18 years of age or older. three. Most Wiccan comply with the faith Wicca which covers many ideals each ancient and new. four. IF you desire to do spells you ought to study to be a Witch, now not Wiccan. There are Wiccans who're Witches, however a Witch will also be any faith she or he needs, or haven't any faith in any respect.

I suggest you get a copy of "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. That's a great book for beginners. Stay away from books by Silver RavenWolf.

My best advice to you is to let yourself be your own teacher. When you're first starting out like this, you need to find your center in Wicca on your own without any influence from a teacher. Find some decent Wiccans in your town to give you advice from time to time. Use your conscience and intuition, they are your best friends.

May the Goddess bless you on your journey. Feel free to IM me if you have any questions or concerns. Blessed be!

For some research into general Pagan beliefs, might I suggest, "Exploring the Pagan Path, Wisdom from the Elders" written as a partnership by elders of several paths.

For Wicca specific reading, I recommend going directly to the father of modern Wicca. "Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft" by Raymond Buckland is a must for any Wiccan's bookcase.

I concur on Witchvox.com and Cunningham. Also consider "A Witch Alone" by Marian Green.

And Lyndi had a very good point about not attempting magic till you know what you're doing. It's not something to "dabble" or "play" with.

Philosophy of Wicca is a great generalized book that doesn't get preachy or isn't just a spell book. Witchvox.com will connect you with others in your area.

Start with witchvox.com and check out the articles and such there. And please, please, please, do not attempt magic until you know what the hell you're doing.

*cough* And don't be intimidated by the ones who threaten hell and such. You learn to block 'em out after a while. =P

wicca is a bunch of people too cowardly to leave organized religion so they made up a stupid religion in the 50s and pretend it's ancient.

how about learning about child development and focusing on your 5 month old? how about studying that? get real.

Wicca is of saten. Turn to Jesus someone whom can actually be there for you. I dont mean to hurt you in any way. Just letting you know there is something greater to turn to.
