Why are there such lineups at the bathrooms for people peeing? Why not just go in the water?

I agree we should just act like the animals that we are and pee wherever we want.

Beats me. I can understand getting out of a pool to pee because it's supposed to be a clean environment, but there's way worse things in a lake, river or ocean than your pee. Think about all the critters that spend their entire lives in that water--being born, mating, peeing, pooping, and dying in the water these morons are afraid to contaminate by peeing in. I only get out for #2 and then only because it would mess up my bathing suit, not the water.

A river flows, an ocean is way to big for those minor changes but probably that's why I try to swim at some distance from the shore )))

But lake? No, no, no.There's no water to be added - it stands the same; especially if it's local little basin it's stagnant. It's like to pee into the pool but without those chemical indicators that makes your urine visible... Keep your environment tidy.

Taking a sh*t in a lake (or at the beach) is just gross. Peeing is just normal! I had this conversation with two girls last summer, because I told them that i had peed (can't remember why I told them, though!). They were a bit shocked. I actually asked my sister, who can be a bit uptight, if she did it in the water. Had she said no, I would have kept on doing it, anyway! What's more, toilets at the beach or at the lake are often gross and smelly! I only go there for n°2!

It is normal to pee in the lake you just shouldn't do it when you are right next to people. Move away before you go.

I honestly don't know one person who doesn't pee in the water when they are swimming in the lake. Yes, it is normal

I love peeing in the beach!! Warm secret pleasure. I don't like to do it on swimming pools because it's the same water once and again.

Normal for the fishies... I don't see them crawling out to use the urinals. The water is so icky anyway, a little more pee won't make it worse :-)

I like the above post, I am currently lifting my leg on a fire hydrant.

I think it's very normal, especially for little kids who can't wait! Our lake is beautiful but the bathrooms smell horrible! The smell alone will drive you out.

A kid I know craps in the river. But, you know, it's a river, not a lake. I think peeing is fine, though.
