British Airways has a scientist working for them that did a study about reducing jet lag. There' s a link on the BA site where you can type in your home timezone and the timezone of your destination and it will tell you when you stay awake, when to sleep and when to avoid daylight so that your body can adjust more quickly to the new timezone.

Don't sleep the night before and get all your sleep on the plane? I'm not sure, I only had jet lag once.

Whenever I go to China I make a time chart. I calculate if I arrive is it going to be morning, afternoon, or evening. Then I use that to rearrange my sleep schedule. If it's going to be ngiht I cannot sleep on the flight no matter how tired I am. If it's morning I have to sleep on the flight. I'll probably not sleep the night before.

Well according to the movie "Die Hard" you should walk around on carpet without shoes and socks. Stop every so often and "kneed" or "grab" the carpet with your toes. It's supposed to help. :o)
