Wow! I'm kinda leery about calling myself a Christian.
I think that its a legitimate question. Although I agree that perhaps you should specify who you would like to reply. Sounds like you're getting bummed out by the 'christian' responses you are getting. I don't blame you - re-incarnation is thought provoking. I remember when I asked people if they believed in reincarnation - the answer was 'No.' When I asked 'why?' the answer I got was 'because God is all powerful and He doesn't need to recycle souls!' Have you ever hear of "Nirvana"? There are apparently 7 levels until you reach it. It is said that if you could remember the lessons that you learned from your mistakes in your past life - so that you would not repeat them - you would eventually achieve 'Nirvana' - in other word Perfection. I've been reading the responses from this subject/category, and have responded to a few. It really freaks me out that the people (and I use the term loosely) who profess their greatest belief and love in God are the cruelest and most sanctimonious that I've ever heard! Being a Christian is not about judging, it's about learning about people to better understand and communicate. It doesn't matter what you believe in - it's the way you treat people that really determines if you are a true Christian. Jesus did not go around shoving his beliefs down peoples throats, he understood and accepted them for who or what they were. There is no such thing as "the wrath of God" it's a man made concept to keep people in line. And the bible is a 'story' that was written years after Christ's death, by apostles who wrote their own recollection of the facts. Then the Church got a hold of them and decided was useful and not.
Oh. and yeah, I'm a Christian.
But I digress...........................

It's an open website and anyone can answer anywhere, just to offer an opinion, even if it's not what you want to hear. If all you ever listen to is just what you want to hear and nothing more, never a dissenting comment, you might start to think you know everything because no one ever disagrees with you (you think) Learning is a lot more than just hearing what you want to hear. If that's all you want out of life, you might just as well be a Christian yourself. Most of them never seem to want to listen to anything anyone else ever has to say because they think that what they believe is divinely inspired by God and they know everything they need to know already. At least they aren't interested in any information from you that contradicts anything they say, they'll call it blasphemy and damn you to hell. Don't become like the song by Simon and Garfunkel says about people: All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest." Very good words to remember, I think, even when someone who realizes it. I fight the natural tendency to do that myself and remain open-minded.

How sorry we are, thought you were aking EVERYONE. Belittle is a strong word, suggesting that you are offended by Christian point of view. Thats okay. Christians should be eating humble pie, doubt they are doing it to make themselves look good. Much less trying to hurt your feelings.

I find myself defending the Christians. If I can answer questions meant for Christians, should they not have the same rights? Same to all you Christians who ask similar questions, if you can answer questions not aimed at you don't whine about it when everyone else answers "Christian only" questions.

1. Because they consider it their holy duty to tell everyone how great god is.
2. Because thet think they are better than you, and consider your beliefs stupid.

Well if you ask about reincarnation and you DON'T want any Christian opinions, why don't you specify that? If you don't want their opinions, state it.
