take care

"Jal ji nae" or 잘지내 means take care, be well in Korean. It's used as a statement or question.

For example, if someone says "Jal ji nae" at the end of a letter or a conversation, it means "take care".

Yet if they ask it at the beginning of a conversation or letter, in a question "Jal ji nae?" then it means, "Are you well?" or "How have you been doing?"

If the other person replies to your question, if you yourself asked someone else "Jal ji nae?" and then they reply the same "Jal ji nae." then it means, "Yes, I've been well" or "Yes, I've been ok."

Hope that helps~!
