my daughter will be attending her old school in a different district so she can graduate with the kids she went to school with the past few years. we moved out of the district last winter and she will be graduating this year so we thought it was important to let her finish where she started. apart from enormous amounts of paperwork to complete to try to get her open enrollment approved, we also have to provide her transportation and pay higher student fees than those who live within the district. she attends public school but whoever thinks public school is free has never attended them where we live. there are general student fees, book fees, lab fees, art supply fees, equipment fees, etc. nobody gets reimbursed for any of it. i don't know how it works other places, but that's how it works here.

I can't understand why you would be reimbursed when you don't spend any money.

I certainly hope not. It is your choice why should taxpayers pay you for your freedom?
