And he said unto her, Daughter, <>; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. (Mark 5:34)

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; <>. (Mark 10:52)

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled <>. (Mark 6:5-6)

(Here the words "faith" and "belief" are the same word in Greek. So, "unbelief" is "lack of faith" and "faith" is "belief".)

yes. faith, or belief must be placed 'in' something. their faith/belief in Jesus was what healed them. faith or belief in the wrong thing didn't heal them. it wasn't just 'faith' but faith in the right thing.

Jesus never took the credit for healing, He always gave the glory to His Father in Heaven, and the faith of the people being healed.

This is a really good question. I am not an expert, but in my opinion I think that it is both.

In the Bible in Hebrews 11:6 it states that " But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
It says that without faith you cannot please God. The question is, who do you have faith in. God will never fail us, so when he said if you believe then you will receive, all of those people in the Bible asked Jesus to heal them and they had faith in him that he would heal them and they also had faith in the process.

in Mark 11:24 Jesus said, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them."

It is a universal law that what you think (pray, meditate on, etc.) that you will attract it to you, like attracts like. That's why in the Bible in Phillipians 4:8 it says to think on good things, it all starts in the mind.

I think that their faith healed them because what you believe is what you will receive and if you do not activate faith then you do not activate God. But I also believe that Jesus healed them because sometimes people, even in our modern day society, give up hope and God will still heal them or bring someone into their lives to help them. I still say that it is both. God Bless You!

Because what Jesus was trying to teach is that it's faith that heals, not the person. It's not on our power, but through God that healing occurs.
