Where else are you going to insult believers? This is where they all are, so this is where we come to insult them.

I can't even believe I'm going to answer this one but, I think in general people that are not believers are people that are highly educated and have made decisions not to believe based on a lack of scientific facts. I am in no way saying that people who believe are uneducated or not scientific. However, religious belief is based mostly on faith. I think sometimes people are cruel l and decide to attack believers assuming that they are just foolish ignorant people that will believe anything just because it's been passed down for a couple generations without ever stopping to think about where the info came from or if it's realistic. I myself am agnostic, but spiritual. I was raised Roman Catholic and I still take many of my beliefs from the foundation of how I was raised. I think problems arise when religion and politics get mixed up which is a big issue in this world right now. tolerance for others is the key to peace whether it be in an online forum or Gaza.

I've been on this religious/spiritual forum for several months and I've notice that there are around 95% Unbeliving GOD Haters on this site !....The proof shows from their questions & answers that they are Insulting, Direspectful, Harassing, Bullying, Judging, And Very Rude To Believers And Their Belief, when all the have to do is log onto a site that believes the same way they believe and stop "Abusing The Beliefs Of Other's On This Religious/Spiritual site"!.....Simple As That!.....Ps. I also believe that yahoo should "sub-categorize" this religious/spiritual site!........my question would be: "why would unbelieving GOD Haters log onto a site where believers believe??????????.....everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe without verbally abusing others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want an honest answer, you would be wise to ask your questions more carefully so as to not accidently offend those who you are targetting the question towards.

ALSO, you must recognize that your question has bias (among many things, you lumped "GOD Haters" in with the other categories)... and you may catch flack for that.

In any case, here's my two cents:
-People from various groups - including those who identify as 'Christian'- insult each other.

-I believe that, regardless of a person's belief system, people often lash out and insult each other because of wounded pride and/or because they perceive somebody else as being brash in their unintelligence, etc.

-THUS, there will be many hurt feelings as people begin to dialogue and find that they have conflicting ideas about that which they hold very dear: Their opinions/beliefs about God/faith/religion/evolution and other existential matters.

***So, you are going to find all sorts of people insulting all sorts of other people who don't share similar views. It's not just 'believers' who are insulted.***

Also, there are often circumstances where agnostic/atheist/evolutionists are just as insulted/offended by the various things "believers" claim *whether or not* the "believer" intended to be offensive. This is usually becausemost faiths have some sort of exclusivity claim on "Truth" and when they assert those "Truths", it offends others who believe otherwise.

But hey... that's just my two cents :)

That's sort of like telling a child that is about to jump off a cliff "Stop doing what your doing or you will die." Are they justified in getting angry at you? Not really, but that might not stop them from being insulted. This whole question doesn't help anything either. God finds ways to humble people in their lives, and only when they start seeing that He answers prayers and is really there will they have that change of heart that begins a new life for them. Until then they are convinced this is all there is.

I personally have never insulted a religious person on this forum unless the other person threw the first punch. Another relevant question would be why do Christians target this forum with insults to those that don't believe as they do? As I shouldn't generalize with my question, so shouldn't you. I target this forum to dispell misunderstandings, myths, and bigotry, in which this forum is rampant with.

It's a two-way street, babe. We heathens are just as persecuted as yall!

I personally no longer take part. That's the only way to go.

I will only answer questions that are not intentionally obnoxious. Although it's clear that you're somewhat new to the site and haven't seen all the sniping from both sides, and of course clearly favor the christians, it's ok. You asked an honest question and have gotten an honest answer!

Not everyone does. I usually don't unless someone is being rude. Then I will be rude back. Not always but sometimes. I don't come here to target anyone. I come here to answer questions. I also come to ask serious questions. I don't hate Christians or any other religion or non religion. I don't hate. I have many friends of different beliefs and that is all fine. We can sit and talk about religions and we don't have to fight about it. We have rational discussions. I thought people could do that on here too.

This is NOT a "Religious/Spiritual Forum." it is a Question & Answer forum on Religion and Spirituality. There is a difference.

Let me dramatize: Right below this forum, there's another that reads "Royalty." Do you think that one should be limited to Dukes and Earls? And if it was a Q&A on "Illness," would I need an infection to pass your tetst?

I am a christian, but i have notice that we Christians are sometimes just as bad telling how stupid they are and other insulting words. I just want you to know that because I don't want to be a hypocrite. I understand that it gets so annoying how they insult us. What I really think is horrible is that they insult God with the rudest questions and answers. But we aren't the ones to judge, but they will one day be judge by God.

I won't speak for other "heathens" (that IS the word you were looking for I believe) but I will say that I only point out the inequities in mythology. Especially when people take it FAR more seriously than they should.
Myth and fantasy is fine for a bedtime story when it comes to putting a 4 year old to sleep. But I wouldn't want to live my life based on them.
As many christians seem to do...
